Geology

Today in Geology, we will be going over the syllabus and tentative course schedule. We will also be looking at the first chapter in the book Physical Geology: Exploring the Earth. Also, you will need to partner up with a classmate for lab for the remainder of the semester.

The first lab will be next Monday, and details are listed in the handout I am passing around now. Sign the roll sheet before you leave.

Well, I'm really not familar with non-magic people. To tell you the truth this is the first time I've actually been around muggles. The ones I've known before were uh, less than satisfactory. *eyes [livejournal.com profile] hermione* But you seem very nice and my roomate is interesting to say the least. Very theatrical, he is.

Oh...I see. Well, to be honest, this is the first time I've been in a setting like this myself. I've never met a magical person before, though I've read about them in literature and stuff. But I'm sure it's totally different than what we're told as children.

Well, we're like most groups of people. You've got the normal stuff; school, families, quidditch. There's war and rivalries. Dark Lords trying to kill off everyone existence, that type of thing. You just have to make sure you are on the right side of that equation or you end up six feet under.
This school has got a lot of different types. I've seen people from outer space, aliens and some big blue furry guy who said he was a mutant. And I thought being a wizard would set me apart from the rest.

I agree - being a regular, non-mutant, Earth-inhabiting...what was that word you used...muggle? seems to be fairly unique here. I'm just a girl from Connecticut. I can read pretty fast, but that's it.
