Study Hall -- Tuesday, October 25th

Sarah sits at the front desk occasionally glaring at the notebook and stack of papers at the far edge of the desktop. Instead of the constant scribbling she's been doing for days, she's got a deck of cards and is shuffling them over and over again out of boredom. She's horribly tempted to go out and play Texas Hold 'em with Locker 327, but she doesn't trust the fucking thing enough. Or, you know, at all.

"Alright." she tells her. "I'll be okay...I just need to sleep again at some point."

"Insomnia sucks," Angela says sympathetically. "I haven't seen you in the room lately. Are you staying at your dad's place?"

"No I've just been really busy." Sydney says, she can't explain why of course.

Angela nods. She's learned not to ask when Syd says she's busy. "Hope I see you soon, anyhow. Oh, and I think Min -- the cat, I left you a message about her -- has kind of decided your sweaters are her bed. I try to chase her off, but...doesn't always work."

"They don't really fit anymore, anyway."

Angela shrugs, uncomfortable. "They will next year, right?"

"Anyhow, I'm glad I ran into you."

"Me too, you don't have to act different, Angela. You can say whatever to me, I'm still the same person."
