"Though to be fair, Venice did only become part of Italy proper within the last two centuries, spending the majority of the previous millennium as an independent nation state."

"But for once we're not here to talk history, as currently Venice is in the middle of the fifty-fourth International Festival of Contemporary Music, and a number of skilled artists in town for the Biennale, any one of which you may choose to spend the class listening to."

Alexander was certainly okay with being in Italy again, though he was torn as to what to pay more attention to: the fascinating city itself, or the interesting music of the festival! Either way, it was certainly something to make him wish this class was much longer than it was.

Somehow, Tara ended up at a performance of the Latvian Radio National Choir. She was happy with her random choice -- she always enjoyed choral music, and this performance was exceptional. She grinned as she listened.
