Macro-Tactics, Monday

"Now, this is a class on macro-tactics. Top down. That's the theory." Kerrigan was grinning like a shark today. The walls of their usual Danger Shop hideout weren't metal this time, either. They were solid brick, old brick, cracked brick. "But sometimes, you need to know a little bit about what goes on on the floor to make it work."

Her eyes slid across the students, looking for Blackagar if he was there. "Some of you wanted to know how to combat the tactics we talked about last week," she said. "I'm graciously giving you a chance to figure it out for yourself. Let's do this the classic way."

She kicked open a door in the corner of the room. "Medieval castle," she said, smoothly. "You're surrounded right now, and your enemy's going to be trying all kinds of tactics to get in here. You can command whatever moddable NPC soldiers, archers and knights you run into. I have five kinds of battle stations. Pick yours, swap it around if you're through with it. You do learn by doing..."

Emma was there, and most likely rather easy to find by the end of class, given that by that point she was rather shiny and disgruntled.

As class wrapped itself up, Triela walked over to Emma with a grin. "You look like you're having a blast."

Because teasing your sometimes-cranky roommate was a great idea.

"Hardly." Emma regarded her diamond armor with disdain. "It's going to take hours to get this to fade."

"Adrenaline, or..." Triela wasn't precisely sure how the whole diamond thing worked.

Emma shrugged. "Something like that," she agreed. "It's not like they can run tests to see what parts of my brain are being hyperactive when I'm like this."

"When faced with a potentially hazardous situation that telepathy cannot handle, I change automatically. Don't ask me how, because I have no idea."

Triela smiled. "That's pretty useful," she decided. "Though you don't sound precisely... happy about it?" Maybe that wasn't quite right, but... something.

"It's vexing," Emma stated. "I don't sleep like this, I don't need to eat, and I've broken three phones because I have a hard time gripping things properly without shattering them."

"Ah. Inconvenience to offset the convenience of invulnerability, huh?"

"I doubt I'm invulnerable, but yes." Emma crossed her arms. "Did you need something for class, Triela, or is this simply a social call?"

Triela smirked. "Just a social call."
