Macro-Tactics, Monday

"Now, this is a class on macro-tactics. Top down. That's the theory." Kerrigan was grinning like a shark today. The walls of their usual Danger Shop hideout weren't metal this time, either. They were solid brick, old brick, cracked brick. "But sometimes, you need to know a little bit about what goes on on the floor to make it work."

Her eyes slid across the students, looking for Blackagar if he was there. "Some of you wanted to know how to combat the tactics we talked about last week," she said. "I'm graciously giving you a chance to figure it out for yourself. Let's do this the classic way."

She kicked open a door in the corner of the room. "Medieval castle," she said, smoothly. "You're surrounded right now, and your enemy's going to be trying all kinds of tactics to get in here. You can command whatever moddable NPC soldiers, archers and knights you run into. I have five kinds of battle stations. Pick yours, swap it around if you're through with it. You do learn by doing..."

Leia grabbed a sword for herself and swung it experimentally. She couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to wield a lightsaber instead.

Sword in hand -because there was no way he would go with a bow-, Cloud decided this was the best way to start the week.

Karla found a sword that wasn't too different from her cinquedea and a pair of sticks that could almost pass as Eyrien, and then glanced around at her classmates.

"Since we have a bit of time, we might want to come up with a few tactics now?" she suggested. Based on what we're all good at?"

Emma looked at the swords with a horrified expression. "Someone tell me she's kidding."

She knew Kerrigan wasn't kidding, but Emma was a fencer, not an actual fighter. Her powers weren't going to work against holograms, however, so she grabbed a bow and cast about for a working plan. Pressing some knights into service would be a good way to start, at least.

Cally's ability to fight with anything that didn't have a trigger was nigh unto nil; she'd be more of a handicap than a help on the front lines of this siege.

She felt a little guilty about that, which was ridiculous in a simulated environment -- but what might happen if she were to find herself without modern weapons?

Something else to add to the ever-growing list of things she ought to learn, then.

Considering how completely accurate and useful this was for Alexander, he grabbed a sword with excited alacrity, his mind already racing with the excitement of the situation.

Lion-o tested a few swords to see if he could find one that felt as comfortable in his hands as the Sword of Omens. It took him the full five minutes to pick.

Goose debated on the weapons for a few seconds before settling on a sword.
