Demolition and Dynamite; Friday, Third Period [ 09/24 ].
"Guess what, kiddies!" Kūkaku greeted the class today in her typically far-too-excited-about-blowing-things-up good cheer. "Today we're learning about pipe bombs!"
Because, really, did you need a better introduction to a class than that?
"Okay, pipe bombs. A little too technologically advanced for my own personal style, but the nice thing about a pipe bomb is getting to play with the timers to get them to blow up after a certain amount of time and cause for dramatic scenes. You know the ones I'm talkin' about. Anyway, the bomb is usually a short section of steel water pipe containing the explosive mixture and closed at both ends with steel or brass caps. A fuse is inserted into the pipe with a lead running out through a hole in the side or capped end of the pipe and we're gonna be working on the ones that are electric with wires leading to a timer and battery. When I'm done teaching you how to put one together, we'll be heading to the danger shop, where there will be plenty of pipes, but if you feel like being all innovative or some shit, then you can do that, too. Now..."
She took a moment to draw a simple diagram on the board and went through the demonstration of how the bomb is made, making a pretty deft show of how to do it. And to make it a time bomb? Well, of course, Kūkaku went ahead and explained that as well.
"So I just set this sucker on for ten minutes," no, she didn't actually set it to go off at all, "so, if you have any questions ask 'em quick or wait 'til we get to the DS. Let's go!"
