The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon 9/24/10

To be perfectly honest, Blackagar wasn't sure how he ended up being in the gym this afternoon. Let alone being one of the first people there.

But that was just how life worked sometimes.

Plus, it gave him a chance to look over the new clubs first! Score for him.

"That is sad. Though I suppose, given some of the worlds I've heard other students describe, I shouldn't be so surprised." Cally shook her head. "It's rare on Auron, to lose family to anything but old age."

"My father's teacher was 900 years old before he died," Ben replied, "but Master Yoda was from a very long-lived species."

Whatever that species had been.

"That certainly stretches the scale for 'old age.' My people have lifespans comparable to humans; perhaps a bit longer due to selecting for healthier children, but nothing like that."

"We have a bounty hunter who's still active at practically ninety or something," Ben said, rolling his eyes. "I think it's because the fanboys demand more Fett everyone's too afraid to tell him to retire."

Cally blinked at him once, then chuckled. "I think there are a few proctors at our education centre like that."

He smiled back. "Are you just stopping by to chat, or does this club have something you're looking for?"

Her smile faded a bit. "My sister is the only family I have left, and she's centuries away and very possibly thinks I'm dead. I suppose I would meet the qualifications."

Noting the faculty adviser's name, Cally thought she recognized a certain irony, though one that she could understand, having touched the subject with Ben when they first met. "Is the faculty sponsor another of your far-flung relatives?"
