Around noon, loudspeakers all around campus crackled to life as Barney cleared his throat on air.
"Fandom students, this is your Dean of Awesome lowering himself to speak to you on a Saturday. But I have news to share! After painstakingly counting and throwing out all votes for Tino, some girl named Percy, and Sarah Jessica Parker, the votes are in for your Fandom High Student Council!" He took a moment and read of the list clearly and without annotation despite a strong, strong urge.

The loudspeaker squealed to announce he was done and still failing at properly pushing the buttons on the machine.
