Summer stood at the front of the classroom, waiting until all of her students assembled before speaking. "Good morning everyone. My name is Summer Pitt and this is Famous Shipwrecks of the Deep," she began, smiling warmly. "As the title says, we'll be focusing on famous shipwrecks of the deep. These wrecks are from all different times in maritime history. Most are well known to historians and marine scientists. We'll be discussing them. Some of the causes of the wrecks are undetermined. I'd like to see if you can come up with a theory as to why the ships met the fate they did. It'll be fun to see what you theorize."

Summer paused, pulling out the syllabus and passing it out to her students. "Today we're going to keep it simple. I'd like you to introduce yourselves -- your name, grade and one shipwreck you'd like to learn about. If you can't think of one, that's okay. You can just tell me why you're interested in this class."

She was looking forward to their responses. "Also, Ariel, I'd like to see you after class, if you have the time."

When Percy realized he was getting stared at, he stared back because...that was completely mature. He didn't know why this guy was staring at him and he wasn't gonna ask. Yet.

"There are three of you," he said oh so observantly. "What the hell is wrong with this place?"

"I've been asking myself that since I got here," Percy said, not even bothering to ask Jack what he was talking about. Stupid face stealers. "We're not related."

"Yeah, I know," Jack replied. "I'm pretty sure I'd know if I had any other brothers out in the world."

"Which one's your brother?" Percy asked. The guy didn't have the attitude that Jason did so he was guessing the other one he hadn't met. "Jason or...the one that that girl Kate knows?"

He couldn't remember if she'd told him Bobby's name because he'd been too busy getting annoyed with her for calling him kid.

"The other one, Bobby. He didn't speak too highly of you." That last part was said with a hint of amusement, which he could safely say now that he knew the face that went with the name Percy.

"Funny since I don't even know him," Percy said and shook his head. "That's a little judgmental, isn't it?"

"You even have the same expression he has when he's getting annoyed," Jack said, narrowing his eyes and leaning forward. "Anyway. He's only a kid and you were both probably as weirded out by the same face thing."

At Jack's look, Percy pursed his lips and tried not to get more annoyed. Weren't sons of Ares supposed to have the quick tempers? He didn't know.

"Yeah," Percy said, relenting a bit. He crossed his arms, still looking petulant. "It's not something I've had to deal with before. So I got annoyed. I'll get over it."

Maybe. Or maybe not. He was a brat.

"That's something pretty big to get over." Somehow, Jack had taken to talking to both Jason and now Percy in a somewhat brotherly manner. Damn their similarities to Bobby, if only in appearance. "And you're new, right?" He shook his head. "You have to deal with the 'hey, the world isn't what you think it is' crap as well as two guys walking around who look like you? Take your time getting over it. You deserve that much."

"Thanks," Percy said, sounding slightly surprised. His only brother was Tyson and Percy tended to be the helpful, guiding one there which was scary.

"I'm new, yeah," he confirmed with a nod. "The timeline differences are throwing me off too. There are people here that I know who aren't supposed to be as young or as old as they are. It's weird."

"Tell me about it. It was 2005 when we left. I couldn't handle a different version of Marcus or Courtney being here. Friends from home," he added as an explanation. "You and Jason looking like Bobby is enough for me. I'm sitting the rest out until I get my head around that."

"At least it's not completely identical?" Percy said, trying to find a silver lining. He gestured to the gray in his own hair before saying, "Bobby's younger, right? So, maybe me and him won't get confused too easily."

"Yeah, I can tell the difference, even between you and Jason now that I know you guys exist." That happened when you knew the face even better than you knew your own. "Doesn't mean it's not weird. Nothing like this ever happens at home. If Mom knew half of what people are saying is real here, she'd probably freak out and have us on the next flight home."

Percy almost smiled. His mom might worry about the things that happened on this island but she wouldn't freak out. She'd already been through a lot of unusual things just because Percy was her son.

"Gonna keep it hidden?" he asked. "Let your mom believe it's all normal?"

"Hell yes, aren't you? For as long as possible anyway. If we can make it to mid-terms, she won't want to ruin the semester by pulling us out."

Percy shrugged a shoulder. "Probably. I haven't really decided yet. Even if I told her the weird stuff, she probably wouldn't believe me."

She would. His mother just wanted him to stick with one school for more than a week. So far, so good.

Jack considered Percy for a moment. "You gave me an idea."

"...good or bad one?" Percy asked, curious.

"Good, I think." He was still thinking about it. "Bobby's never going to keep his mouth shut about everything going on here. But if I tell Mom everything with a hint of sarcasm, she'll think I'm lying and that Bobby's going along with it."

"You won't get in trouble for the lying?" Percy wondered. "My mom would look at me like I'd just done the worst thing possible just to make me feel guilty."

"She'll brush it off as me being a smart ass. So your mom knows how to push your buttons?"

Percy shrugged again. "It was just me and her for awhile. My dad's...not really around."

Other things to do and all.

"So, it was easy for her to find my buttons. 'Course, that means I know hers too."

"I know how that goes."
