Padme's Monday Office Hours

Padme sits at her desk, half-heatedly going through tests. She ponders appointing an assistant, at least to relieve some of the pyschological trauma of some of the answers from the Advanced Negotiations essay questions.

Her door is open a crack and the coffee-maker is brewing away.

"That seems to be low-balling it a bit," Anakin replied with a smile. "But we also have a teacher who's known as the Crazy Squid Lady, so I'm sure there's anyone around here that's exactly a poster-being for mental stability."

He walked over to the coffee maker and poured a cup. "How was your weekend?"

"Uneventful is good," Anakin murmered. "I have a feel this weekend is going to be anything but uneventful." He leaned against a cabinet and took a sip of coffee.

"I have a strange request." He looked at her over the rim of his mug. "The JA is going to be holding a bake sale over the weekend, and Angelus would like it if we would all bring something." He took another sip of coffee. "The last time I tried to learn to cook Obi-Wan forbade me from ever doing it unattended again. You wouldn't happen to know how to bake cookies, would you?"

[OOC: Yikes! *sends hugs and cookies*]

"You'll help me?" Anakin's face lit up. "Thank you!" He walked around the desk and gave her a quick peck on the cheek before flopping into the chair in front of her desk.

"I still don't know how I did it," he said. "I was about 11 and was homesick for Tatooine cooking." He raised an eyebrow. "I know. I wanted some of Mom's cookies, though, so I tried to program the replicator to make them. The replicator only understood the "Tatooine sand" part of the sand cookie recipe, and dumped out something like four feet of the stuff into our apartments before Obi-Wan could unhook it."

Anakin laughed. "It got everywhere.. I've been banned from attempting to cook again ever since."

Anakin stared at his feet for a moment. "I had kind of tinkered with the replicator, too, to make it anticpate our needs quicker. That's why it didn't quite listen to my whole order." He smiled, a grin of pure mischief. "I've gotten much better at fixing things since then, though."

[OOC: Edited to spell words, like my name, correctly. Oy.]

Anakin finished his coffee with a shrug. "Your loss, really." He smirked. "I've gotten much better with my hands."

He put his mug down and stood up. "Need to be heading to class now, I guess. I couldn't resist a chance to see you, though."

Anakin's eyebrows went up. "Heard there's one of those in town now. Weird. I promise not to go near the microwave unless it starts something with me first, all right?"

He smiled and wondered what Padme would do if he tried to give her a kiss in her office.
