Gym 102, Tuesday - 8/17

It was the last day of class, so what better way to celebrate this than with horribly humiliating sports?

Just be glad he never got it in his head about uniforms, people. They'd be green and tacky and possibly involve crab shaped masks. Yeah. Thanks for that one, Kyle.

"It's your last day here, so we're gonna do something fun." Fun-ish. For Guy. "The staple of gym class, dodgeball."

It was a thing now.

"So, try not to have too much fun before break. And for christ's sake, actually give it an effort."

He's looking at you, Reyes.

"Ah!" Momoko was laughing from his reaction, but she'd remembered something. "There is one totally important thing I will need to know before I can go on the trip, though!"

"Yes, you should get me some candy."

Momoko pulled a bag of caramels from her pocket and held it out to him, without skipping a beat.

"What clothes do I pack? I mean, is it cold there now? Should I bring anything special? Am I going to need a formal dress, like I did in New Gotham? What about shoes? Do I need new sandals? Well, I totally need new sandals anyway, but you know what I mean, right?"

See? TOTALLY urgent, Must-Know Information.

"It's hot. Hot and dry. So pack... whatever you'd pack for that, I guess?" He definitely wasn't thinking about suggesting she pack a bikini. Or anything.

"Oooh! Hot and dry? Like it's been here, lately?" Then she was totally packing her swimsuit! Although maybe not the bikini, depending on how many bruises she still had left.

Momoko unwrapped one of the caramels for herself. "That's done then! Ahah! Now I can't wait for Friday!"

"Well, hopefully you won't get lost when we go." Jaime smiled just a bit. "Though I notice you may have actually learned the name of the city, so that'll help."

Momoko grinned. "How could I forget? It's the same name as that famous actor from the American gangster movies!"

Jaime blinked. "Wait... who?"

Momoko shifted the bag of candies,looking inside to hide her grin. "'Al Pacino', right?"

"Yeah, that's right." Jaime nodded super-seriously. "I'll let you catch your own portal there, okay?"

"Oh ho? That totally sounds like another challenge, Mr Reyes!"

"You're not going to hit me in the head with a ball again, are you?" Jaime complained.

"You're not going to leave me behind on Friday, are you?" Momoko countered.

"But you know how to get there on your own, right? It wouldn't be a big deal."

"I never said that, but I'm sure it can't be too hard to find El Plaza on a map."

Or, you know, portal directory.

"Exactly. You totally won't get lost." And if she did, it would be hilarious.

Until he got the phone call in the dead of night demanding he come get her.

"I don't get lost! I just like to take the scenic route sometimes."

"And change your destinations, right?" That was totally what it was, right?

"No, no! You just add more stops along the way!" Momoko shook her head and grinned. Honestly? She really only got lost when she wasn't paying attention, and usually she was flying when that happened. Not that anyone would believe her, of course.

Certainly not Jaime.

"Uh huh. But that would mean less time eating my mom's amazing cooking."

"That's why she has to adopt me!" It makes perfect sense, Jaime.

"She's already got one bratty daughter," Jaime teased, poking Momoko in the shoulder.
