When the class arrived at the Danger Shop, it was set up to look like a small cinema.

"Good afternoon, class," Bond greeted the students. "Before we get to your final, I would just like to take a moment to express what a pleasure it has been teaching you these past few months."

"Sometimes, no amount of adaptability can help you escape a situation," he said. "However, it can help you endure an inescapable one. Such as this. I'm afraid you've been captured by a scientist with designs on world domination and very few experimental ethics. He has shot you into space, leaving you on a satellite orbiting the Earth. Now that you are up here, you are expected to take part in psychological experiments, namely watching some of the very worst movies ever to have been filmed in the hopes it will destroy your free will. Due to a design flaw in the atmospheric system, you cannot leave the theatre while the movie is playing without risking explosive decompression."

Bond looked around the room. "Today's task is to find some way to survive to the end of the film with your sense of self intact." An alarm started blaring. "And now, I believe we have movie sign."

Wonder why anyone would think bad movies could be used to break someone's will.

If asked, he'll point out that at least there's no Celine Dion music in the film.

Who mightn't see the lack of Celine Dion as much of a plus, all things considered.

Bod had been protected from this film until just now. He didn't know what was going to be so bad about it so he went in with an open mind.

That was possibly a mistake.

This... was horrific. Still, she'd nearly been eaten by cannibals before, so she figured she could manage a film.

...that was just painful.

Griff kept looking around at the other students, imagining all sorts of scenarios for escape.

"Are you trying to give us nightmares?" Rose asked Bond after class. She was frowning at him but just very lightly.

"No, if I wanted to give you nightmares I'd have put on a much worse film," Bond replied, completely unrepentant.

Yes, there were films worse than this.

Kyle Reese

Kyle was confused because he kept trying to understand the logic of the movie. His head hurt more and more until he couldn't stand it anymore and started staring at the floor.

She scowled at him. "I think you're making it up."

Bond could look remarkably innocent when he tried. It was those baby blues. "Rose, would I lie to you of all people?"

And now she was snickering because after 15 months of classes she knew he wasn't that innocent. "Yes."

"Well, yes, but in this case I'm not actually lying."

"Fine, fine," she teased. "I'd ask what these worse movies are but then I'd want to watch them and that just ends up badly."

"Trust me, thee are some things you're better off knowing, and this is one of them."

Yes, he managed to say that with a straight face. There was a reason he was the best poker player in the service.

"It's totally awesome of you to protect our brains like that," Rose replied laughingly.

Bond grinned broadly. "I'm going to miss having you in my classes," he said, with actual sincerity this time.

"Gonna miss being in your class," she admitted. "I learned a lot."

"I only hope it'll be of some use to you," Bond said. "I don't make this offer to many people, but if you ever need something from me, regardless of the legality, you only have to ask."

Rose smiled, looking touched at the comment. "Thanks. I'll remember that. And hope it's not necessary." She glanced up at him. "Are you staying here to keep teaching in the fall?"

Bond nodded. "Once I figure out what I'm teaching."

"Good," Rose decided. She smirked a little. "Then Kyle'll have someone to keep watching out for him."

She was teasing...mostly.

"I'm sure he'll be grateful for your concern."

"Oh hey, look at you using sarcasm," she teased.

"I believe I've still got enough time to fail you and make you repeat," Bond teased back. "If you're that worried about him."

"Nope, I got my diploma and everything," Rose told him. "Only way to make me stay is getting me kicked out of St Vlad's, and that'd just be bitchy."

"And I like you far too much to do something like that." Regardless of the fact he though they were verging dangerously close to child soldier territory.

Rose couldn't help smiling at his reply. She was so going to miss him. "You're so the only teacher ever who's said that to me," she laughed.

The feeling was mutual. "That must make me the smartest teacher you've ever had then."
