First Aid - Danger Shop, Friday, Period 5 [Week 6]

There were stations set up around the room for various types of injuries. "Ladies, gentlemen, I'm glad to see you all in one piece more or less. For those of you who were dimensionally-challenged last week or otherwise busy with the island breaking, don't worry, you didn't miss anything. Anyone who wants to catch up on fractures and breaks or anything you've missed during the term can come and see me in the clinic in town on Tuesdays. Today we're covering everything from lizard claw scratches to getting hit by steel pipes. Ask and ye shall receive, sooner or later. Make your way around the stations, read the card, try the exercise and if you need anything, give a little wave.

Next week we're doing something different. No triage. You're each going to get a patient and go through the steps of how to look after them in the short and long term, in case seeing a doctor is out of the question and the situation is bad. Be prepared for it."

Jane had to do this one. Because throwing star. Of course, she could have dealt without the meaty fleshy cow's leg, but it also gave her an opportunity to really dig in there and say that she'd once removed a throwing star from a cow's leg. Imagine the people she could freak out at parties and family gatherings.

When you thought about it, really, what were the odds of Kurt or his teammates ever being actually hit by a throwing star?

... Pretty damn near 100%. So Kurt practiced.

Momoko nodded, remembering Shiva. She was sure that there would be many more shuriken thrown at her in her lifetime, though, and so she followed the directions carefully. Even if it was totally gross working with the cow leg.

Kurt was more concerned about a certain giant man-tiger than any particular lizards, but this was a DEFINITE concern.

"Ah! I totally know this one!" Lately most of her monster battles had been with claw-y monsters, so Momoko didn't have to spend much time reading the card on this one.

She made a face at handling another cow leg, though. Ew.

Kurt did both exercises and practiced carefully. Being thrown into a brick wall was the most likely injury he was going to see, after all.

And yet two more scenarios Momoko was familiar with. Huh.

She paled a bit as she read the card; she'd never even thought about some of things it described as possible effects. She looked up at the dummies and winced... technically, they could both have been her at some point. or, really, points.

AKA "what to do if someone mind-controls Scott". Also, somehow more disgusting than looking at an open wound. Kurt practiced carefully.

And back to the cow legs. The poor cow!

Momoko took her time with his card. She wasn't sure which she would run into more, lasers or plain old fire, but she wanted to be ready just in case.
