When the students arrived in the Danger Shop, they found themselves facing an enormous pair of glass doors guarded by Stormtroopers. Anakin, cloak sweeping the ground behind him, entered through the glass doors.

"Welcome to your next challenge," he said. "Sometimes on a mission, the only way in is through the front door, and you might need information you will just not have access to to get in." He swept his hands out to point at the door. "Like today. This is a mid-level government building. You need to get past the security on the other side of those doors, using identification you do not have. The only thing you will have is your attitude, your natural gifts of persuasion and the contents of the wardrobe room over there, which does not contain weapons." He smiled. "I found that a long cloak and a 'don't kriffing mess with me' attitude works seven times out of ten."

The other three times, he used mental persuasion, but he wasn't going to bring that up in a class with students who might not understand how Force-abilities worked.

"The security guards will be played by the TAs and myself, with varying degrees of attentiveness, just as you would have with real security guards." He gave them all a tight smile. "Let's see how you do."

"As a matter of fact, I don't have any plans for the day, other than my Battlefield Tactics class in the morning," Leia said. "And dinner would be lovely."

"I'm not sure it says anything very complimentary about our galaxy that my daughter and grandson still have to take a class on battlefield tactics for practical application," Anakin mused. "Would you like to eat here, or meet out in Washington?"

"It's not exactly something I could learn at the Alderaan Select Academy for Young Ladies," Leia said, rolling her eyes. "Table manners, yes. How to outflank the enemy, no.

"You'll already be on the island for your office hours, won't you?" she went on. "We can have dinner in town. That way you don't have to bring me all the way back to the island again."

"Who says your birthday present wasn't going to be cab fare?" Anakin teased. "Would you like Thai? Have you tried it yet? Or food you eat with sticks?"

"I'm not familiar with Thai," Leia said ~~after checking the tags in the townies comm omg~~. "What's it like? Just tell me it's not moving when you eat it." She'd run into exotic foods while visiting other planets, but she drew the line at things that were still alive.

He laughed. "Not at all. It's very spicy, though. Like Corellian, but better."

Anakin had developed a fondness for Asian cuisine.

"That sounds delicious," Leia decided. "What time do your fangirls set you free?"

His cheeks went a little pink. "Late afternoon," he mumbled.

Leia couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, please, don't tell me that embarrasses you," she teased. "It must've been worse for you during the Clone Wars."

There was fanfic to prove it.

"Yes, but then I could leave the planet," he muttered.

Leia feigned a sympathetic sigh. "It must be so awful for you," she said.

He slanted his eyes at her. "Why do I get the feeling you're not being entirely sincere?"

"Would I make fun of the father that just promised to take me to dinner for my birthday?" Leia said, all wide-eyed innocence.

"In a heartbeat," Anakin replied.

"I am terribly offended by your accusation," Leia said, clasping a hand to her chest. "In fact, I think the only way you can make up this insult to my honor is with a pony."

"We'll see," Anakin said, grinning.
