Good morning.

I hope you all received my email this weekend. If you have any concerns about the discontinuation of Friday sessions, please let me know and I will attempt to address them.

Classics: We will continue our study of the basics of Greek. Please pair up and practice the pronounciations. Audiotapes demonstrating the proper sounds are in the cupboard at the back of the room; each pair of students should take a tape and headphones and go to a listening booth to work.

Languages of Asia: There is a quiz on Cantonese today, with the same format as the quiz on Hebrew last week. After you complete the vocabulary and translation passage, please approach me at my desk for a brief conversation in Cantonese.

[OOC: I got a comment that the Dream font makes it very hard to read the links, and -- as the FH community is white-on-black anyhow -- I'm removing it from his class postings. I'll still use it in his conversations, emails, etc. I offer my apologies to Neil Gaiman and anyone else offended.]

Michael swore under his breath and added something very uncomplimentary in French about the master/slave experiment, then pulled himself together. "I apologize. Thank you, Janet. I'll go over and see her right away. Do you think there is anything she needs - from her room , perhaps - that I could bring her?"

Dream weighs one palsm against the other, equivocating.

Perhaps. I am .... usually more subtle than that. But it is possible.

Dream notices that Janet has fallen asleep, but decides against disturbing her.

There will be time enough to look in on her later.

Michael shrugs. "I mever minded. So, if it was you, you were welcome to be there. Just, perhaps, say hello if you wander through again."

So kind of you to give me permission Dream says, sarcasm barely concealed. I may do that.

You can take your seat, Mr. Samuelle.

Michael returns to his seat thoughtfully, wondering what he did to annoy Dream.

[OOC: Dream IS the Dreaming -- someone inviting him in or barring him from dreams is kind of like an ant telling a human that he'll be happy to share the potato salad at a picnic. He's not going to explain that in the middle of class, but that's why he reacted as he did.]

Sonia signs in, finds her seat, and begins practicing her pronunciation, occasionally glancing back to the notes she'd made in the last class.

[OOC: *Mun* knows why Dream was annoyed - though didn't think about it when writing Michael's comment about dreams - but Michael doesn't understand, thus the comment. ;) Love your Dream by the way. ]

Sam slides into a seat next to her at the last minute and notices the yawn. "What happened last night?" She then begins to go over her pronunciation.

[OOC: Cool, just wanted to make sure you understood why he got pissy.]

[OOC: Yep. Got Dream's reply and went, "Duh! What were you thinking, Mun?!?!" so just answered from Michael's perspective of clueless human. ;) ]

Lane signs in and does her written portion of the quiz. She approaches the desk when finished.

"'Sit look like I was plannin' ta pair up without you?" Connor gives him a bland look. "Review er notes, aye. I'll only be a couple'a minutes.

Jack signs in and gets right to work on his pronounciation.

Which gets him an odd look before Murphy heads back to the booth.

Connor shakes his head and goes back to his notes.

Hello, Miss Kim.

How are you today?, Dream greets her in Cantonese.

//I am well, thank you. How are you, professor?"

//I am well.

//I enjoy it very much, sir. It does take a lot of effort and concentration, but I am learning a lot.//

*signs in, takes her quiz*

*approaches Dream, quiz in hand, ready to converse*

Dream smiles, glances at the quiz, then adressesd Jubille in Cantonese.
