Anakin was not exactly fine with what had happened in the latter part of last week, which was why today's Danger Room looked like the interior of a refugee freighter. Padmé had been weighing heavily on his mind

"One of the most important aspects of infiltration is the ability to blend in and not be noticed," he said as he walked through the crowded space. "And one of the most obvious ways to do that is through the use of clothing." He swept his hands out. "We will start simply. This is a refugee freighter, an inexpensive and slow way to move around my galaxy. Here you would find beings from many species and systems, none of them particularly wealthy."

He pointed to one of the doors. "Behind that doorway you will find a very large supply of clothing, and a computer that links to a database full of the planets in my galaxy. You have fifteen minutes. Put together a costume and a cover story that would explain why you are traveling from Coruscant--the galaxy's capital--to Naboo--a planet famed for its beauty."

"Is he Gungan?" Anakin asked.

Katniss laughed girlishly, shaking her head. "No, don't be silly." She didn't know what a Gungan was, but she'd seen them listed on the indigenous species, so she knew that was wrong. "He's human, like me."

"I wasn't judging," Anakin said, laughing. "Much. Have you been to visit his family before?"

Katniss shook her head, looking shy again. "We've never been able to afford it. We're only going there now because," and here, she used every scrap of acting ability that she'd had to conjure to get that food during the Games, "my parents kicked me out. We're using all our money, hoping to start a new life there."

"Very good," Anakin said with a smile. "And what's your name?"

"Rue Thresh," Katniss said, smiling a bit. "Soon to be Rue Hawthorne."

Hey, if she was ever going to take Gale's surname, it would be here. In pretend.

He nodded. "Well done. You'd get past customs."

Katniss dropped the act fairly immediately, looking a bit triumphant. "Well. Good. What's a Gungan look like?"

Anakin waved his hand at the control panel of the Danger Shop. "This," he said, and a Gungan loped through the freighter's main area. "They're amphibious. And a bit on the irritating side."

Katniss...stared, before finally offering, "I'm glad I didn't let you think I was marrying one."

He chuckled. "Yes, regardless of what I told you, there would have been some judging."
