Battlefield Tactics, Thursday
This time, the students' visit to the Danger Shop would reveal a teacher. Kerrigan stood atop a rock, her arms crossed and her bearing very, very steady. "This is a practical course," she said. "Nobody's going to teach you how to run an army in seven easy steps, so I hope that's not what you had in mind when you joined us here."
She raked her eyes over the kids. "Practicals," she said. "The goal is for you to start thinking creatively through experience." A pause. "Or something like that. You, and you. You, you..." She pointed at a few random students, pairing them up one with the other. "Team up. On the other side of this ridge is a small army. We have higher ground, they've got numbers. Near the back of their encampment, against this very same rock, is their food supply."
"You're all outnumbered. So the trick is to starve your enemy. It's going to be hard for them to find another way out of this valley and set up a steady supply route. You've got some Danger Shop explosives to take care of the whole thing, but don't abuse the Danger Shop safeties."
One more glance their way.
"Now go."

Listen to the Instructions
Re: Listen to the Instructions
... But that would have been pretty fun, too!
Re: Listen to the Instructions
Starving them out, huh? That seemed kind of... huh.

On the other hand, it meant keeping more of her people alive, too.
In the end, it didn't really matter, did it? Being a Queen meant making tough choices.
Re: Listen to the Instructions
But a patience game? He could play that.
...Admittedly, beating the crap out of everyone would have been a lot more exciting.
Team Up and Go
Soldiers will shoot on sight, so grab your
moddablydesignated partner, keep cover, go, and try to blow up the enemy's grub.Re: Team Up and Go
He grinned and did a few squats while he waited for his partner. This would be a piece of cake! Probably!
[Posted with a warning that I'm only going to be around early in the day, and then I'll be off and skipping to AFK-land for the next four days, woe.]

Two serious blondes?"What are you good for?" It was a completely professional question. He would have preferred to team up with Zack, but then again, they both did pretty much the same.
Re: Team Up and Go
The tiny smile returned as she asked, "What are you good for?"
Re: Team Up and Go
Mastercardmagic; actually, there was probably magic for everything at all. And Karla apparently was good on the multitasking zone. Good, a sword-less, materia-less Cloud was not as versatile as he would like to be."I fight", and there was no shame on his voice. When you didn't have much skills, you better be the best on what you did. "I could probably end the army down there by myself if I had my sword on me. And I also happen to have military training. My personality might not play on my favor though."

Okay, so they were at war and they were outnumbered, but they had the advantage in location? Good. She remembered from Tactics class that sometimes the smaller the group you were in, the better, so she wasn't too worried about that.
She was focussed instead on the idea of destroying food and forcing people to starve to death. She didn't like that idea, and wondered if she and her partner could maybe come up with a different way for the two of them to defeat an entire army bent on killing them.
