Battlefield Tactics, Thursday

Upon arrival in the Danger Shop, the students would find that there was... nothing.

Well. In one sense of the word; there was mud beneath their feet, very sticky mud. There were what seemed to be small clumps of rocks, here and there, and further in the distance, the swaying motions of what appeared to be a tree.

But what was clearest wasn't clear at all: a dense fog, that laid over everything like a blanket.

There was also no sign of a teacher.

Corsets, on the other hand. While kind of hot? (On people not Kennedy.) Hello, uncomfortable.

"I totally have the right ideas," Kennedy informed her. "Seriously, as humid as it gets sometimes? You'll be way happier."

Especially when you had to fly around in them and drape yourself over some idiot in order to suck their blood...

Not that she did that anymore.

"Do they have anything similar to this?" she asked, looking down at her suit.

Kennedy would appreciate that, Maladicta. ~~As she followed in the new Slayer tradition of palling around with reformed vampires, apparently.~~

"Pixie Dust's worth checking out if you don't want to go off-island," she suggested. Still total suit envy going on here, okay? "Or online. You can find everything online, but you might wanna ask someone who's way more geeky than me for help with that. If not, I know a few tailor types who could whip something up?"

"...On line?" Damn it, Kennedy. Damn it.

Yeah, well, you're welcome.

"The Internet?" Kennedy tried. "Oh, God. Yeah. I'm so not the one you need explaining that to you. It's a computer thing, it..."

Not helping, Kennedy.

"Does that have anything to do with a television?" Maladicta asked, completely missing her point. Because it was just cruel to spring on someone who thought imps were the height of technology.

"Um." Cue the look of hello, I am a deer on the highway and there's a truck barrelling down on me that so few things managed to get out of Kennedy, but the prospect of getting techie about stuff did. "Kind of... vaguely? Sort of."

Seriously. NOT HELPING.

"Then how do you get it out?"

"Get it out?" Blink. Bliiiiiiiiiiiink.

"...oh! No, the actual stuff gets shipped to you in the mail," Kennedy explained. Leaving out the whole, oh, ordering process.

That part was kind of important, Kennedy. God.

"Oh, the post." Well, that made far more sense. "Perhaps a tailor would be best, though."

"Mmm, yeah. That way you know for sure if stuff fits, and saves you the pain in the ass of the whole returns process," Kennedy agreed. "Did you want a few recommendations?"

"If you have some, I'd be glad for the help."

And look at that, Kennedy. Always making friends with the things you're supposed to kill. Worse than Francine.

Look, it was tradition even if she didn't know it yet, okay? At least she wasn't sleeping with them. God.

"I definitely do. We could even make a trip out of it, if you're up for that. I never get to drive my car enough."

Yes, that was a little bit of whining.

Maladicta smiled, nodding at that. "I'd enjoy that." Not the car bit, but the shopping.

...she was still female, after all.

Don't knock the car bit! The car was awesome!

...yeah, okay, but Kennedy was totally a girl too. (Surprise? Not really.)

"Cool. Wanna schedule that sometime?"

"In the evening sometime, if possible."

Sun allergy, after all.

Kennedy, seriously. Put two and two together here. The shade last week, remember? Now this?

"Works," she agreed. "That's when all the fun stuff happens."

...sigh, Potential.
