Battlefield Tactics, Thursday

Upon arrival in the Danger Shop, the students would find that there was... nothing.

Well. In one sense of the word; there was mud beneath their feet, very sticky mud. There were what seemed to be small clumps of rocks, here and there, and further in the distance, the swaying motions of what appeared to be a tree.

But what was clearest wasn't clear at all: a dense fog, that laid over everything like a blanket.

There was also no sign of a teacher.

"Kennedy." She squared her shoulders and tried to recover her composure as quickly as possible, hiding her lingering nerves behind a mostly-diffident expression. "Potential Slayer. I was going to wait it out--" yeah, that always worked so well with her-- "until it was safe to get a move on, but I generally don't expect to be in these situations unprepared. If I knew what I was in for, I'd have been armed."

It was entirely possible she'd just blustered right into the point.

Kennedy bristled, probably predictably, though thanks to Constance she was at least somewhat used to that unimpressed tone. "Yeah. Point taken. Is this the part where you tell me what I should've been thinking instead, or do I have to figure that out for myself?"

Riiiiiight, she wasn't going to get lucky enough that another teacher would have a weird bit of a soft spot for her the way Faith seemed to. (Emphasis on the weird.) This did not exactly mean that Kennedy would back down completely.

"It could be rhetorical. Not really equipped with a huge frame of reference when it comes to warfare--" at all-- "involving bullets, though, so once we get past the keeping my head down and staying the hell out of the line of fire, that's where I get a little bit lost."
