And so, then next chapter of Aquaman's Adventures in High School Education was about to begin! While the topics were the same, it was a new batch of curious students ready to learn, and he hoped that he could still throw in a few surprises as they did. As the students came into the home ec classroom, they would find on their tables a box of various supplies, some crayons and markers and paints, scissors and hot glue guns. And glitter, of course! One had to have glitter!

The large man in the tight superhero outfit positively beamed from the head of the classroom as the students got settled, waiting for the precise minute for class to begin. Once it came, he started, bursting with professorial pride, while managing to spout of last semester's greeting almost verbatum. It had been a good one, and sometimes there was no shame in keeping the good speeches. "Hello, intrepid young knowledge seekers! I trust your first day of world-expanding workshops have been going swimmingly so far, and allow me to welcome you to the home ec classroom. Here, we will join forces together to explore the outrageous wonders of the home economics world! My name is Aquaman, and you may be wondering what a well-known superhero and king of the undersea realm might be doing here teaching home economics in a summer workshop! Well, let me tell you!"

He took a moment to turn around, picking up a marker for the dry erase board, and he wrote out across it a phrase. The marker squeaked, still, with each careful stroke, a skill carried over from last semester. Aquaman still didn't seem to notice, either. He finished with a very deliberate and dramatic dot on the bottom of his exclamation point and backed away.

"A man (or woman)'s home is his castle, and if he (or she) cannot maintain his (or her) own castle, how can he (or she) be expected to maintain his kingdom?" he read off importantly.

He stood there admiring it for a moment, never getting tired of such sage advice, before turning back around to the class. "You see, just like crime fighting, I believe that maintaing home and hearth to be a hands-on job! It builds character! If that means I'm to mend my own socks, well, then, mend them I shall!"

No, Aquaman didn't really ever wear socks. That was beside the point.

"So, my intrepid individuals, these next few weeks, we shall embark on the great journey of learning how to better take care of the ecomonics of home! Because home is where the heart is! On your desks, you will find a syllabus, so you know precisely what to look forward to, and please let me know if you have any questions at all. Today's adventure?"

Again, he turned to the board. Again, the marker squeaked with every careful move.

"Introductions & Color Scheme!"

"Introductions!" he said. "And color scheme! It is important for superheroes and homes alike to have a certain color scheme to ground them and make them noteable! As you can see, I am quite fond of orange and green, myself. They are bold and outrageous, just like me! Green is also the color of life and vitality, and of nature, which gives us life...and vitality. And orange, well, orange is for vitality, too, and it helps inspire creativity and it's really, really noticeable. Plus? I like it a lot!"

"So I'd like you all to take a few minutes and think about what colors you would like to choose to represent you! Think well, but think quick! Then, we will take turns going around the room; introduce yourself, telling us who you are, a little about where you are from, why you've decided to take Home Ec, and then tell us what your colors are and why! Then, we will spend the rest of the class using those colors to design a room! It can be any kind of room! Bedroom, living room, bath room...it doesn't matter, as long as you use your colors as the central theme for them. You can use whatever you like to design them; everything you need should be there at your desks. If you're feeling particularly bold and brave, there are shoeboxes provided so you can put your design into a really cool diorama!"

"So, if there aren't any questions, five minutes! And then we'll talk color!"

While she wasn't precisely harmless, so far the island had kept her entertained enough to maintain a pretty bearable mood. Which was good. Very good.

Energicetic nodding ensued. "Yesyesyesyes." It sounded as odd as it looked, really.

"Enjoy it too? Hm?" Because it was better if more than one liked the course.

Hinata had a feeling that the slight headache from trying to make sense of this girl was going to be an ever present sort of thing.

"So far," she said, deciding that, yes, she might just be telling the truth. "Have you made a diorama before?"

Del went to the extreme to give Hinata a thumbs up. That was the spirit!

"Diooooooo...ah?" No, she hadn't. "Is it, "

"I think it depends," she said, frowning slightly. "On what you're trying to make it look like."

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh..." Right, she needed to have an idea of what she wanted her room look like.

"My...realm? It's color and light and more color and, um..." What else was there anyway? "And shapes. A lot of shapes."

"Your realm?" she asked curiously. "Not just your room?"

"My place-- like...my home?" She hadn't been in the need of explaining what was her realm like before. Odd.

"I could, um, make a room..." That looked like her realm? Seriously, when it came to infrastructure, Del was pretty lost.

"Perhaps," she suggested, "rather than attempting the entire... realm you have, you could do a corner of it? A section."

In case it didn't have corners.

Corners; Del's realm had them. More than necessary, actually. "A corner would be nice", said, more to herself, but Hinata was helping her, so she beamed at her. "And you~?"

"I hadn't quite decided," she admitted, flushing slightly. "Perhaps an area that opens into the outdoors."

Del nodded at her, interest high; this girl seemed to be quite interesting, although entirely sane. "An area like...." She had like a million of ideas, but Del wanted to listen to Hinata's ideas first.

Very, deplorably, entirely sane, yes.

"A garden," she said, thinking about it. "With a small pond and a bench right where it'll get sun part of the day and shade for another part so it's always perfect depending on your mood."

The fact Delirium found her intriguing was like a huge mystery. She was going to find out more about her now.

And for someone that didn't know what to do, Hinata had a very good idea already. "It sounds, um, interesting", said as her hair made a little color shift to a brighter scale of pink.

If Hinata knew what Delirium was thinking that fact might have been vaguely alarming.

Hinata blinked. "Your hair changed," she said curiously. "Did you know?"

[Ooooo, okay!]

Good think she didn't? She was fairly safe anyway.

For a second it looked as if Del didn't know what she was talking about, and then she just went "Oh, that; it happens all the time." Yeah, totally normal for her. "Sometimes my eyes change too", said as she pointed at her blue and green eyes, although those were usually were they should.

"Just because?" she asked interestedly, but didn't seem put off by the idea. Who was she to talk: Hinata's hair was naturally dark blue and her eyes, well, didn't really look like most people's eyes.

"It's, um, a mood thing, sometimes." Sometimes just because, she guessed. And Del had noticed her eyes too. "Your are prettier." Mismatched eyes were so out of date anyway.

"Thank you," she said, flushing slightly at the compliment. It was weird, really, when people did so. "I think what yours can do sounds quite fun."

Del knew that with some effort she should be able to swap the position of her eye color, but that being one of the few constant things she had, maybe it was a good idea to keep them like they were for now. "I could, um, color yours. Later." Because they were like two pretty clean canvases waiting to get some color.

Hinata was equal parts intrigued and alarmed at the thought.

"Would that be--permanent?" she asked carefully. "I wouldn't like my eyes to be changed forever."

For one, she wasn't sure if her blood limit would work if her eyes were different and that... that could be a problem.

That was a good question.

"I can, eh...make it, purely esthetical, no change to the eyes. Like...a paint brush! "

Hinata considered that.

"I will think about it," she decided. "But I'm fond of them as they are as well."

"It would last as long as you want to."

Said with the accent and the hand gestures of certain drunken pirate captain.

Hinata shook her head and laughed softly.

"I still want to think about it," she said, gently but firmly. "I will consider it and get back to you."
