The Great Outdoors | Friday | Period 1

While Fraser would have loved to hold the last class outside, it really wasn't indicative to practicing what the students had learned so they were in the Danger Shop today.

"Good morning," he greeted, smiling at them all, "and welcome back. This is our last class and I want to thank you all for being well behaved and willing to learn. Today, we're going to practice what we've learned. I've set the simulation up already. What you're going to do is pick out your supplies and head in. I'm not telling you what the sim's set for because, when you're outdoors, you're not going to know either. You're going to have to adapt to whatever Mother Nature decides to throw at you. Good luck."

With that, he hit the sim and stepped off to the side.

Edmund crouched down while he checked through the supplies before heading in.

Ariel was, of course, jamming as much stuff into her backpack as she possibly could. If anyone asked (and she had the capability to do so), she would have claimed she was just being prepared, negating the fact that it had anything to do with the fact that she just couldn't say no to good supplies, but, of course, she doubted anyone would ask and, even if they did, it wasn't like she could really tell them anyway.

She might have taken a while to pack, as well, because she just couldn't help admiring everything so much.

Once inside, Edmund decided to head for high ground and get a good look around. He didn't stop when it rained, but did take more care with his footing.

Oooooooooooh.

Ariel was definitely excited about this! This place was beautiful! And dangerous! It was perfect. Even the bouts of heavy rain made her incredibly pleased, fond of rain as she was. Without rain, being a human might be too dry to bear.

A whole class of exploring something new and exciting. If it wasn't so awesome, she'd almost be sad that it would be over soon.

Firekeeper and Blind Seer set out with their rather sparse pack. The first time they scented the oncoming rain, they ducked under the trees for cover. Same with the second time. By the third, though, they figured it was warm enough and the rains were short enough not to bother.

She didn't actually know what a jig was, so that was unlikely. Though she was around for anyone's non-dancing needs.
