"Crimeny, I'll go with you if you just keep your voice down." Jack rubbed the bridge of his nose and grunted slightly. It was going to be a long day, he could just tell.

Not wanted him to get upset at the level of her speech, Anya passes Jack a note that reads:

Jack,

I am sorry that you seem to be having a bad day and that my decision to talk to you had to land on it. However, it has been very painful for me the past week to not know what is going on. All I know is that we had a date last Friday and that you didn't show up and didn't call- ALL WEEK.

I realize that I was out of town Saturday planning your death but I have one of those machines that records calls while you are out. There were no messages when I returned, only a note that had your named signed on it with a picture of you in a silly shirt with a wooden stick. Then you don't call and obviously avoid me the rest of the week.

What am I supposed to think?

Yes, come to my room with me insert porn music here to see the letter since you don't beleive me. But only if you want to.

Jack reads the note and passes one back,

I called you on Monday after you weren't in class. Monday. Ever think maybe your machine sucks? They have a tendency to eat things sometimes.

I. Sent. No. Picture. None. Not a one. And I haven't been avoiding you, it's been a long week.

I'll go with but I'm telling you, I know I didn't send you any picture.

Noticing the hostility, Anya gives up and decides that having D'Hoffryn here next weeekend really was a good idea that he can see the damn letter for himself. Then curses the technology that brought forth the answering machine and wishes it was the 60's again.


Fine, then she writes back. After class come with me and you can see what an lying asshole how forgetful you are when you are sick. As for the message, I am sorry I didn't get it and take back what I said about you ignoring me. I should have known that you wouldn't treat me that way.

Fine. I'll be there. I would just like to say one more time though that I never sent any picture. And the apology's accepted. I'm not a complete ass. Usually.

Anya reads Jack's reply and although she loves is fond of him, is currently wishing he'd burst into a ball of candy colored flames.

Then maybe you can help figure out where it came from. After all, if you didn't stick it on my door which I doubt, wouldn't you like to know who's poking their nose into our love life?
