MATHS CLASSES: Friday 21.10

Charlie's desk is overflowing with papers today, and two of the blackboards are covered with x, y, brackets, equal signs and exclaimation points. Charlie seems a little frustrated but mostly cheerful. He tells you that he's moved his office hours to Tuesdays, and that four consecutive classes missed without an excuse now equals being kicked out of class. He then gives you a sheet of paper and tell you to go sit down.

A man has to get a fox, a chicken, and a sack of corn across a river. He has a rowboat, and it can only carry him and one other thing. If the fox and the chicken are left together, the fox will eat the
chicken. If the chicken and the corn is left together, the chicken will eat the corn. How does the man do it?

At the bottom is scrawled: Give me a solotion by the end of class.

When class is over, Chloe hangs behind for a moment while everyone else leaves. "Professor? Do you have a moment? I have an assignment to ask a teacher a single question for Journalism class." She smirks. "And before you say anything, 'Do you have a moment?' was not my question."
