Sarah glares at anyone who dares to enter, not about to put up with the same sort of shit she had to put up with yesterday. She hunches over her notebook for her hot, hot Fandom High romance novel OMG WHEEE! notes for the classes she really doesn't have, looking about as sane -- if not less so -- than usual.

Now, what's another word for "turgid"?

Angelus came into study hall. He spied Jonathan and came over to take a chair by him.

He started to speak then stopped, cocking his head as though noticing something. He looked at Jonathan, looked over at Draco, looked back at Jonathan, then grinned.

"Tell me you took pictures."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Jonathan lied, blushing furiously, "none whatsoever but if I did I would want to know how you know about this thing of which I have no knowledge of."

"Vampire senses," Angelus tapped the side of his nose. "But don't worry, Johnny, it comes with a vampire swearing to secrecy provided I get those pictures. You made sketches, right?"

Jonathan rubs one hand over his face, shaking his head.

"Umm, thanks. And I have that thing you wanted." Jonathan reaches into his bookbag and pulls out a small box. "Now don't go using it all in one place... or do. And I'm sorry but I haven't gotten around to apologizing to Spike yet. I went into town last night to do it but I didn't see him. And then I got a little distracted and drunk."

"Any special instructions?" Angelus turned the box over in his hands, examining it for any flaws. "Something tells me I shouldn't leave this somewhere the roomie could find."

"I'd recommend not dropping the vial inside and keeping it out of sight from pretty much everybody. Also if you could try and not expose it to extreme heat or cold. Either open or shatter the vial when you want to use it," Jonathan fidgets a little and toys with the paperwork on the table.

"So, you said I should keep you aware of any special projects I might be doing, to avoid stepping on anyone else's and I'm kind of wondering if I might be about to step on yours.

How do you feel about Professor Maclay?"

"Depends," Angelus said, "what do you have in mind? Remembering that we're surrounded by our fellow students as you tell me this."

Jonathan doesn't roll his eyes.

"Obviously, I just really like her. She's become a regular in my counseling sessions and I'm just hoping to be able to work with her as much as I can. She is coming to me for help after all. Can't let her down."

Jonathan smiles at Angelus over his glasses.

"She's obviously some one who needs a lot of help."

Angelus grinned back. "Johnny, I have every confidence in the world that if Prof. Maclay needed counseling help, you are exactly the person I would want her to be seeing."

"Good. Just wanted to make sure she wasn't off limits or anything. She's from your dimension right? Did you know her?"

"Different timeline," Angelus said. "Never met her before she showed up here. Says she's working for the Powers so I'd be lying if I said there weren't some trust issues in our relationship."

"I wonder what her interest is in you. I mean not to hold onto stereotypes but as a vampire aren't you kind of, the anti-Powers sent girl?"

"Sadly in my case it's not cut and dried," Angelus said as he put the box very carefully into his backpack. "There's this prophecy about me. I'm destined to either save the world or destroy it. That means the forces of good and evil get to bicker over me like a pair of divorced parents."
