Sarah glares at anyone who dares to enter, not about to put up with the same sort of shit she had to put up with yesterday. She hunches over her notebook for her hot, hot Fandom High romance novel OMG WHEEE! notes for the classes she really doesn't have, looking about as sane -- if not less so -- than usual.

Now, what's another word for "turgid"?

Duce almost startles as someone speaks to her, head jerking up. Realizing it was Angela allows her to relax a little. She glances at the drawing, staring at it for a long moment as if she's never seen it before. "Oh.. it was a.. a dream. Y'know, the kind of dream that gets in your head and won't.. leave?"

"Yeah. I've had a few of those myself." Angela rubs her eyes as she tilts her head to look at the paper. "It doesn't look like a fun one." [OOC: I also do game_of_you, and -- I don't know if you know Sandman, but he would probably be interesting to hook up with Medusa on a couple of fronts. No urgency, just wanted to mention the idea while I was thinking of it.]

Duce shakes her head slowly, "Not fun, no.. Interesting, disturbing, and worrisome, yeah. The worst thing is that it bothers us because.. the dreams don't bother us anymore." She shrugs, trying to shake off the icky vibe, and flips the page. Glancing at Angela again, her charpencil moves rapidly over the blank page, drawing a startlingly good rendition of Angela's face in this pensive moment. "Normally, we draw like this. Happy stuff, you know?"

(ooc: Didn't know that - do know Sandman, have been RP'ing with Delirium. Hee! Dream would be fun. The dreams are setup for a character potentially coming onboard, and I figure Duce has two-three of them left. Feel free to have Dream walk into any of them.)

"That really looks like me, doesn't it? You got my earrings and everything," Angela says, a little absent. She has noticed Marty's arrival out of the corner of her eye, but doesn't want to acknowledge him just yet.

She forces herself to turn her attention back to Duce. "I'm sorry the other stuff is in your head right now. Do you have an idea why, or is it just..." she waves a hand vaguely "...a mystery?"

[OOC: Cool. I don't send him into character dream posts without warning, especially because I think it's OOC for him to be especially interested in the dreams of any mortal without a reason. But the reincarnation(? --going from your userinfo) of Medusa would probably make him at least slightly curious.]

Duce watches Angela not watching Marty, and goes for the distraction. Gently tearing the page out of the book, she offers it to Angela, "If you want it, it's yours. If not, it's yours to destroy. Some people get twitchy about images."

Responding slowly, she answers, "Don't think they're our dreams, really. They feel.. far too real. Like we're somehow visiting another place. There's someone in that place that we try to find.. but we never do. He's always .. somewhere else. The things we see in the dreams, the .. horror.. that's what he sees, and he thinks it's real, so in the dream, it's real to us too."

Her mouth quirks, knowing how crazy that sounds, but crazy is something she's used to, "Probably a side effect of the whammy from Ab Psyche last week. Suspect it'll wear off soon.. our nightmares usually do."

(ooc: Feel free to have him walk into any of Duce's.. She's not sane, and her dreams are even less sane. The SH dreams might really pique him, since they're more reflections of someone else's reality than true dreams. The OOC reason for this is that her mind is just too stressed after the Aggro!Duce episode.)

Angela smiles slightly as she takes the picture. "I'll keep it. Not to, like, hang over my bed or whatever, because I'm not *that* vain, but ... sometimes you need to be reminded what you look like."

She listens intently to Duce's explanation of her dreams, nodding in sympathy. "I've heard that experiment messed a lot of people up. And, um, I guess that was the point. But I hate that the fallout is lasting this long. And having other people in your head ... sometimes it gets too noisy just having me in here, you know?"

Duce quirks a grin and points to the snakes, "Never really alone in our head anyway, but.. they don't really have voices. Just .. senses."

Rubbing a hand across her forehead, she mutters, "Thought the fallout was over.. then saw Paige, so guess not. We'd think the drugs'd be wearing off by now, though. Maybe Paige's magic or whatever is making the effects linger."

Angela twists her hands. "I heard things with Paige were ... not good, and that it doesn't seem to just be breaking up with Geoff. I haven't had the chance to talk to her in a few days, but ... I hate knowing she's hurting."
