Okay dudes, because people keep skipping class and disappearing, this isn't working so good. So you're either gonna have to recruit your friends to come join the class or we're gonna have to combine everyone into one big band and hope that we have enough people at the end of semester to put on a concert.

So what do you dudes think?
1) Recruit more people [OOC: That means you guys, because Ted has very few ties outside of class and I've already tried]
2) Combine together and make it one big class project to put on the most excellent show in town.

This week we'll just be discussing what to do next. Don't forget to sign the attendence sheet, dudes.

"Problem is, we try ta make one band out of all of us, an' we'll probably wind up spendin' all th' time fightin' over who gets ta be which lead, what type of music ta perform... think th' best idea would be ta do some recruitin'."

"Well, maybe we could try recruiting first, then if we are still down on numbers, we might need to combine. I don't think there will be that much fighting over parts, as several people are still just learning their instruments!"

He points at the current roster. "'S only two learners I see there, while th' only instrument we've not got multiple students on is Sonia an' her violin. 'M not meanin' ta say either of us is in th' right or not, but I'd personally rather keep the groups th' way they are right now, aye?"

"Sorry, Professor Ted. Last week vas...a bit crazy."

She turns to Connor and holds out some sheet music and a cd. "I've found this- it's an odd mix, but it incorporates all of our instruments, and I think ve could have fun vith it. Vhat do you think?"

The twins exchange a look that pretty much says 'Why didn't we consider that?'

"'S a possible, aye," Murphy finally says. "Though we'd been considerin' somethin' a bit more modern."

He's got a tape (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H9QJ6DUX) of his own and some roughly drafted sheet music, as he hadn't thought to check the music room yet. "Thought this could work, though we'd have ta modify it a bit - they didn't have a violinist in th' group." He shrugs. "'Least we seem ta have a bit more time ta make up our minds now."

Sonia glances over the sheet music and nods. "This looks good. I'll see what I can do about transposing vun of the parts- shouldn't be too hard. Maybe...vunce we've got everyone here, ve can give both a try, see what vurks the best? Or even learn both, if ve like them." She shrugs, leaving the question in the open. "And yes, we've got lots of rehearsal time- and at least now, some ideas and options as to vhat we vant to play."

Dunno why people aren't showing up for this. Who skips BAND of all things?

I guess it makes sense to see if we can't recruit a couple new people before we decide to try and do one big class band. Can't hurt to try, right?
