history of medicine | wednesday | april 21

Fraser hadn't ever prepared a final examination so he was fairly sure he'd been too light and far too lenient but he didn't much care. He was confident the students retained the knowledge they needed so he felt no real need to try and make them recite it all back to him. Their true tests would come in real life, practical situations.

"Good day to you all and I hope your week of finals is going well," he said, nodding to them. "Just like all the other classes, we're going to be taking a final as well. It's fairly straightforward but I would like you to work on your own. Once you've finished, you can leave and I wish you good luck on your other finals and a good break. Let's begin."

With that, he passed out the one question final and let the students start working on it.

Alex hadn't studied so he just hoped the question was fairly easy. That or it was something he could bullshit. Bullshitting was a talent of his.

Okay, it was an opinion question. He could bullshit a bunch of crap if he could remember enough. So, he chose one time period they'd talked about, kept it to the base facts and wrote a fairly straight up, thorough answer to the question.

Once he'd finished, even he was surprised by how accurate and lengthy it was. Apparently, he had better recall than he'd suspected.

Savannah wrote a handwavily long and detailed response to the exam question.

She was going to miss this class.

Naomi handwavily wrote a lengthy detailed response to the question, taking time to go over and make sure she was happy with her answer once she had finished.

Ellie thought about the question for a bit before writing a lengthy and accurate response, glad she retained most of what was discussed in this class. Once she was satisfied with her answer, she turned it in.

Hinata's response was detailed, yet concise, with a bit of a tangent about how it was most peculiar the number of ways medicine here varied and how it varied from her world as well.

K-Mart's response was handwavy entirely too thorough, but oh, well. It made sense and that was what counted!

Joolushko snuck a few somewhat less than kind observations about Earth medicine into her essay about the influence of Chinese medicine which she and I chose totally randomly on modern medicine.

Alice's answer featured the Victorian period heavily, as she was going to borrow her personal knowledge to compare against the current state of medicine. She did manage to pull in examples from other eras for contrast, which at least showed she had been paying attention.
