Magical Ethics: Week 14, Period 1

Alysha had been off-island since last week.  With Charlie calling and offering to bring her home through the Wood for the weekend, and oh, by the way, she really missed her and had plans to prove it, there'd be no way to say no.  Seriously.  It was even worth the frustration of all the aunties piling on about how they disapproved of her teaching so far away - and in the States!

It was even more worth it when she got back to the island last night to laugh a lot at all the teenagers trying to be parents, and wow, was she glad she hadn't been around.  She didn't want to know what kind of kid would show up for her.

"Seems you all had an entertaining weekend," Alysha said with the smugness of someone who didn't have to deal with it.  "And it appears you're all in one piece unless you're not.  So good job on surviving another Fandom Experience.  I was out of town.  I'm totally good with that."

"A few weeks ago, one of your classmates-" she glanced at Tara if she was there "-brought up the question of, I guess we could call it full disclosure.  Is it ethically required to tell other people you have magic or powers beyond the norm?  I think we can all agree there's no need to wear a pin of something saying 'Hi my name is Alysha Gale and I have magic,' but does there come a point when telling an acquaintance, a friend, a lover, a family member is the right thing to do and where is it?"

"Your question for today, have fun."
