"Mara, get out of there, please," Ben said to a tiny person already hidden inside the flight simulator.

"May I go first, Papa? Please?"

"Yes," Ben finally decided. "Hey, everyone," he said to the group with a small smile. "Since we have, um, visitors still, Tahiri and I decided that we'd show you some of the sorts of things we got to play with when we were kids."

And a lot of what was wrong with their childhoods was about to be made clear...

"Yeah, no random Winnebagos this week," Tahiri added. She'd left the programming of the sim to Anakin (Skywalker, since even she had to emphasize that in her own head this weekend, thanks, Raven) so as to avoid that happening again.

"Bet I could have figured out what went wrong there, Mom," Cassa piped up.

"Yeah, I bet you could have. But that was last week." Tahiri, who would not put it past her kid at all, grinned sheepishly.

"'course I could have. I've gotten to copilot the Falcon lots of times! Okay, just two."

"You've gotten to fly the Falcon twice?" Don't sulk, Ben, it's not attractive. "Anyway. This is a Corellian cruiser which might not look pretty, but is kind of a family heirloom. If you crash it, it won't be the first time, but please try not to crash it."

"But fixing it again is fun," Cassa objected.

Tahiri looked at Ben and shrugged. "I never get to fly it either, if that makes you feel any better. Anyway, if you don't feel like flying the fastest hunk of junk in our galaxy and want to stick to atmosphere, we've got hang gliders for you. We thought the kids might like that." Because neither of them thought there was anything wrong at all about letting young children dangle in midair from a light metal frame. Hang gliders had wings. It was more than they'd had at that age on some occasions.

"It's totally astral," Ben said enthusiastically, "especially off the top of a really tall building. It's even better without wings--" he caught his grandfather's glower and immediately corrected himself, "--but that's not for non-Jedi. So. Have fun!"

Because it's a classic.

And possibly the only way Ben will ever fly it.

"Family heirloom?" Leia had to ask.

Ben grinned aggravatingly. "That's all you get to know."

Leia responded with the appropriate bitchface. "Do I get to know?" Jaina said, bouncing. "Can I fly? Please? Can I?"

"You can certainly fly," Ben said. "The other Jaina got to fly this ship all the time."

At least from Ben's perspective. Ben was a little jealous.

"But you haven't," Leia said, looking Ben over. "Which seems to imply that the ship is closer to me than it is to you or your father."

Dammit, Aunt Leia was too smart. Even really young Aunt Leias.

"It's also closer to Tahiri," Ben deflected. "My dad has his own ship."

Which almost never lost parts or shut down at the wrong moment. It was so much less interesting.

"And I suppose you're going to tell me I'm not allowed to try to find out information on Corellian cruisers named the Falcon," Leia teased.

"You can try, but it doesn't use that name a lot," Ben said, being honest.

Leia gave Ben a thoughtful look, trying to decide if he was telling the truth or just saying that to discourage her. "Well, I suppose it won't matter if I marry Chuck Bass," she finally said.

"That's my dad!" Jaina said unnecessarily.

Ben shuddered despite his best efforts. "Let's not do that."

"I have absolutely no intention of marrying him," Leia assured him. "It'll just be a casual fling." She somehow kept a straight face.

"Aunt Leia!"

The whine was strong with Skywalkers.

"Of course, he'll only be part-time," Leia went on, seemingly oblivious to Ben's protest. "There's also Dean Winchester to consider. I have to keep my options open."

Making Ben flail was so much fun.

"Ewwwwwwwww."

Ben was so easy to wind up on this.

"And Mat," Leia mused, unable to hide her grin. "But he and Chuck are both graduating, and Dean's already off island, so I guess I'll have to start looking around for replacements."

"Boring people?" Ben tried.

"Never," Leia said. "Boring boys are...boring. Do you know how many times I've had to endure excruciatingly dull conversations with the sons of noble families who could talk of nothing but themselves?"

"A few thousand so far?" Ben guessed.

"Give or take a hundred," Leia sighed. "Interesting boys are so much more fun."

Ben wrinkled up his nose. "I'm not that interesting, and I'm plenty of fun."

Pause.

"Not that you should ever want to date me. Ew. No."

No, she just might scar herself for life by kissing her brother in the future.

"Right," Leia said. "So much fun that you won't dance with your girlfriend."

"There are other ways to have fun," Ben insisted.

Like fighting monsters and then going for ice cream. They were special.

"I have a feeling we might have different ideas of fun," Leia teased.

"If it involves Chuck Bass and Mat Cauthon, then definitely," Ben said, making yet another face.
