Rogue sits down with her book and starts studying the verbs as instructed. She scribbles a few notes in the margin, and mutters to herself in Spanish as she does so.

Lisa sits down, speaks to no one, conjugates her verbs quickly and rather poorly for her, and leaves without a word.

Archie comes in, goes over the Spanish verb forms fairly quickly, and spends the rest of class cheerfully doodling on the margins of his notebook.

*Wanders by the classroom and peeks in. Smiles at Archie then goes on her way.*

Parker isn't concentrating very well. She conjugates bailar, cantar, escribir, and poner, then gets hung up on ir for a while.

Piper wanders into class, signs in and conjugates the verbs as best as possible.

*hamlet signs in and starts working on the verb conjugations he didn't get to on Tuesday*

Paige walks in yawning, at least she'd managed to sleep alone last night Evil!Paige didn't seem to care they had early classes.
She smiles at JiJi before transforming into the black cat

Jiji looks up from washing his paws as Paige walks in, sniffing to be sure of her scent, and when her transformation is complete, he winks at her.

Paige smiles and lifts a paw to him in greeting, "hello JiJi, it's nice to see you again"

"Good to see you, too! I hope everything has been going well with you," he purrs at her.

[ooc: Is Paige still under the effects of the activated Evil!Paige? There is a possibility that Jiji's sense of smell would be able to detect that something was different about Paige, even in cat form, although he would not be able to figure out what.]

Paige nods, "I'm not too bad all things considered thank you."

((this is normal Paige, she's kept control until this afternoon with Sawyer, cos Evil!Paige likes Saywer, god help him!))

Jiji purrs, "Glad to hear it!" He flashes her a bright, white-fanged smile.

He does wonder, however, what "all things considered" means, particularly in the context of things he has heard from Kiki.

"So we're meant to ask questions, erm, do you having any advise for us about being a cat. Other than the not licking thing, obviously," she lets out a laugh like meow

"Advice for being a cat," muses Jiji. "You start me off with a tough one! To you, cathood is something you are learning. To me, cathood is. I have never been anything other, so I have nothing to compare it to. It is my state of being." He pauses, and adds, almost as an afterthought, "It is the ultimate state of being. Achieving cathood is a delicate balance between dignity and playfulness, between familiarity and aloofness, between regalness and the enjoyment of a satisfying roll in the dust. Be nonchalant, but also familiar. Be near people, but not of them."

He thinks for a moment. "Keep your claws sharp. And always, always, always," he adds, a mischievous grin causing his whiskers to bob, "be careful who you lick."

Paige smiles, "Thank you JiJi, I'll be sure to remember that, the bit about the claws I mean" she adds quickly looking at Hank embarressed

"There's good reason for that one," Jiji continues. "What's a cat's first line of defense? Or offense?"

Jiji raises a paw and there's an almost audible *snick* as five sharp claws snap out.

"The trusty claws. When danger threatens, you don't have time to sharpen them then. Keep them sharp; it'll save you when you need them."

Paige nods then quickly pushes over a note to JiJi, "for KiKi" she whispers "it's very important."

Jiji stands up, stretches, arching his back, then sits down again, this time on top of the paper.

Like most cats, he can't resist the lure of sitting on paper.

"Actually, I was also wondering what the proper etiquette was for sharing food. My traveling companion was always very skittish about that and I wasn't quite able to understand why."

"Litter-mates will have no trouble sharing food; kits that have been raised communally generally have no problems, either," Jiji answers. "However, kits that have ben raised alone or who have spent most of their time in competition with others for a limited amount of food will certainly hoarde their food jealously. It's tough to teach," Jiji concludes wryly, "a cat to share."

Hank walks in and nods politely to Professor Dream before being transformed. He promptly greets Jiji just as politely.

"Good morning, Jiji. How have you been since last we met?"

Hank's grammar in Cat is much, much better than it was a few days ago, but his accent is also much thicker.

"Very well," Jiji answers. His whiskers twitch, seemingly in approval at Hank's ability to converse. "There haven't been any M-cubed classes, so Kiki hasn't been dragging me along to have me help her. Frees up my schedule quite a bit."

"Not," he adds as an afterthought, "that cats really care about schedules as a general rule. As long as you leave plenty of time for sleeping and prowling, you're good."

Hank cat-laughs.

"That is quite true. Sometimes it seems that a cat's life is a much preferred one.

"If you've been by the coffee shop in the last few days, I'm sorry that I wasn't there to give you your cream. I've been indisposed recently."

Hank's tail deliberately twitches in a show of mild agitation.

Jiji's own tail just flicks once, languidly. "Don't worry about it," he says amicably. "I've only been by once, myself, with Kiki the other day. I've been busy helping her with deliveries - and her classes. I should have talked her into taking this one!"

In a tone of amusement, Hank says, "Well, I believe that Professor Dream wouldn't mind your presence if you desire to continue attending."

"I do think it would have been more useful for her," Jiji agrees, "but then, I'm biased! I'll be happy to drop by whenever Professor Dream has a use for me."

Jiji (http://www.welikesheep.com/archives/jiji.jpg), a small, slim, ebony cat, hops onto Professor Dream's desk and quietly licks his paws while waiting for the class to assemble.

Michael comes in and transforms into a cat. He observes the others.

Jiji nods his head in greeting.

Cat!Michael sniffs politely at him and then pauses to clean his back leg furiously.

Jiji blinks lazily, the only outward sign of response.

Depending on how fluent Cat!Michael is, it could mean, "Excellent grip of aloofness: reserved greeting underscored by displaying that aquaintance-making is secondary to personal grooming; well done," or, alternatively, it could mean, "The Salisbury steak and mashed potatos at the Diva Dive is especially tasty tonight."

Cat!Michael hopes it is the former, but makes note of the latter in case the cafeteria food is as unsavory as usual.

Bridge wanders in to class and transforms.

He cocks his head curiously at JiJi and asks the question that's been bugging him for a awhile now.

"Is there such thing as feline-" he breaks off, not sure of the correct words for 'empath' or 'telepath', if they even exist, "...thought-readers?"

Jiji put his head to one side in thought.
"Good question. Cats, perhaps above any other animmal," Jiji begins, "are very much in tune with the emotional states of others around them. To some, this may appear as a form of telepathy or empathic ability. Most humans do not realize how their own actions, even the most minute ones, betray their emotions, and cats are very sensitive to these - so much so that again, it may seem that they are able to read thoughts. I have never known a cat to be a true mind-reader, but as for the students in this class, I can't really make any claims. Many of you, I'm sure, all have your own abilities which quite probably carry over to your feline forms."

*signs in, transforms, watches the conversations around her*

Jiji is astonished to see the pink-furred cat. His whiskers twitch, and his tail flutters, fur ruffling lightly. He masks his surprise pretty well, however, and gets over it pretty quickly. There are far weirder things at Fh.

*blinks mildly at Jiji*
