people suck except when they don't | thursday | period 2 | april 1
Loki wasn't usually one for expressing anything girly like relief but he was happy to find that most of his class was intact and those that weren't there had been gone long before the fog occurred. So, he left that serve as his sympathy for the day and moved on. The class was meeting in the Danger Shop today for reasons only Loki knew. Be afraid.
"Today, we're going to pick up where we left off before that fucking fog through everything off," he said, glancing at the class. "I'm going to do some flipping though. Xenophobes is going to come in a few weeks since it's a bit of a heavy topic. Today, we're going to talk about fucking hypocrites."
Ah yes, hypocrites. Loki knew those people well. Loki could be a hypocrite even but, considering that every fucking person could be one of those, he didn't feel too badly.
"Typically, a hypocrite might be called two faced. They'll tell you one thing to your face and say the exact fucking opposite to other people. They'll pretend to be your best friend and have your best interest at heart while they secretly try to undermine you. They think you and your significant other are the cutest couple ever while they're secretly banging your SO behind your back. Anything like that. Hypocrites are fucking annoying but they are unavoidable. No one is going to always be point blank honest with you. You're going to have to suck it up and deal. We all have our secrets. And, at one point in our lives, all of us have been two faced mother fuckers. The key comes in how often you do this, the degree you take this to, and the pain you cause. And, as you should know, if you do this too often, your friends are gonna drop you. Maybe after punching the shit out of you."
Violence was Loki's personal favorite way of dealing with things.
"How do you deal with hypocrites?" Loki shrugged. "It all comes down to personal preference. You can let your friends use you as a fucking doormat or you can cut that bitchassness off where it starts. If they talk about you behind your back once, they'll almost always do it again. No one is immune to giving into their petty desires every once in awhile and sometimes you just really want to piss off your friends and family. So, with all that in mind, we get to today's activity. There are two doors here."
Loki switched on a few lights revealing a brown and green door. "I'm going to tell you what's behind each door. Now, it's going to be up to you to decide if I'm trustworthy enough to be telling you the truth and not lying my ass off in private in an attempt to make you look stupid. You either choose brown, green, or none. Good luck."

She was wary about the exercise though.
Re: during the lecture [ps 04/01]
One, she was still writhing internally from embarrassment from yesterday.
Two, she had plenty of first-hand experience of hypocrisy, thanks Uncle Hobart.
She'd just be over here, wishing she was still in bed.
class activity | picking out a hypocrite
__
[If you choose the green door, you're going to get doused with slime. If you choose the brown door, you're gonna get doused with honey. And those waiting to pick a door won't be able to see those that have already picked! This is Loki's April Fool's Fun, yes yes. If you'd rather avoid this, just say you don't trust Loki and/or you're suspicious of the day and don't pick a door!]

This is why she was approaching the brown door and trying not to seem nervous.
Bad move, Elena.
