Study Hall --- Thursday, October 20th

Sarah sits at the front desk, leaning back in her chair with her feet up and looking like she's asleep. There's a few gigantic boxes of donuts, hot coffee and tea for anybody else who arrives in study hall as early as she has, and while it may look as if she's perfectly harmless like this, there is a pile of rubber bands very near her hand. The threat that she'll shoot them at anyone who bugs her is obvious.

(OOC: Forgive the mun, but she's just started a new night job and will be sleeping through a lot of the day, so it's either a few days a week of study hall bright and early or study hall late and dark.)

Archie's eyes widen, and his hand tightens over Lana's. "Well, well, you really are quite the insatiable one now, aren't you?" he teases gently. "Don't you know it's awfully cruel to do that to me when I still have another class to go to?"

She bites her lip, then realizes he's teasing, "Well, aren't you the one always saying that the anticipation is half the fun?"

"Oh, anticipation is one thing. But I won't be able to concentrate on a thing in class now!" He leans in close, his breath warm on her ear, and whispers, "I think I'll be concentrating on just what I plan to do to you tonight."

She shivers deliciously. "And you say I'm a tease! I'm the one who has *religion* class next!" She catches herself and smiles happily remembering that it was after her religion class Tuesday that this all happened.

Archie smiles. "Oh, very well. I'll behave myself for now. You do have to catch up on your studying, after all."

"Don't behave yourself too much," Lana says with a smile and rests her head on his chest. "Can't we make this day just be over now?"

"If it were within my power," he replies playfully, "I would grant you that wish. Sadly, I'm afraid that skill eludes me yet. But who knows? Perhaps my philosophy class will provide me with the key to such powers."

"I feel I should be quoting Shakepeare about now, the whole 'gallop apace ye fiery steeds...' thing." She shot a quick glance at Principal Connor then leaned in to kiss him again. "Come night, come something, something night!"

Archie chuckles. "Shakespeare isn't my forte, I'm afraid. I never did quite get the hang of his language; I suppose that's why my acting career never happened."

"Well, clearly I didn't do so well with the memorization myself," Lana says laughingly. "Nonethless, I do wish it was night already." She slips her hand into his. "I want to be with you, and not while under the eye of some watchful teacher."

Archie squeezes her hand tightly. "No, not here. I'd hate to get carried away in front of the principal!" His face falls suddenly. "Oh . . . damn. I nearly forgot I'd signed up for Kawalsky's hockey team. I think that meets tonight."

"Can I come watch? Cheer you on, maybe?" Lana grins at him, then pauses. "Unless, maybe you don't want people to know about us." She looks up at him somberly.

"Absolutely," he replies with a bright smile. "I hope I don't embarrass you too much. I expect to be miserable at this."

She beams at him again. "I don't care. And I can always care for any bumps and bruises you may get. After practice that is. *Privately*." She gives him a seductive little grin and squeezes his hand.

Archie smiles deviously. "In that case, I'll make sure to bruise myself in interesting places."

"Please do! And then we can see if kissing it to make it better really *does* work." She steals another kiss.

Archie laughs. "I look forward to finding out -- but you should attend to your studying. I can guarantee you that it won't happen tonight."

"Promises, promises. I just hope you keep them." Lana smiled up at him.
