Study Hall --- Thursday, October 20th

Sarah sits at the front desk, leaning back in her chair with her feet up and looking like she's asleep. There's a few gigantic boxes of donuts, hot coffee and tea for anybody else who arrives in study hall as early as she has, and while it may look as if she's perfectly harmless like this, there is a pile of rubber bands very near her hand. The threat that she'll shoot them at anyone who bugs her is obvious.

(OOC: Forgive the mun, but she's just started a new night job and will be sleeping through a lot of the day, so it's either a few days a week of study hall bright and early or study hall late and dark.)

"Oh, it's no problem," Lily reassures quickly. "I just wanted to make sure I wasn't losing my mind! You never know around here."

"I know what you mean about being tired! That's probably the cause for most of my problems." She sighs. "Um, no - I don't know of any family in this... time. I'm actually looking forward to laying low - I can't even imagine how crazy this place will be when all of the guardians come to visit!"

Sonia grins, relieved. "Oh, good. I vas a bit vurried about that. And...yes, I know what you mean about that. Vun day, you're fighting zombies, the next a pink robotic bunny is stealing your textbooks. It seems 'weird' is a ground state of being, here."

She nods emphatically, and laughs. "Oh yes, I definitely plan on getting some rest. I just hope the dorms vill be quiet- though yes, I can't imagine vhat the town is going to be like. Makes me dread going into vurk, almost."

Lily frowns as she realizes exactly how little she knows about her roommate. "Where are you working?"

Sonia flushes red a bit, remembering she never told Lily she even had a job. "Oh! Um, I'm vurking as an assistand at Chaucer's- keeping an eye on the shop, artistic commissions, odd things like that. It's a good job, and a nice break from school."

She looks thoughtful for a moment. "You...vurk somewhere in town to, right?"

"Chaucer's? That seems like it would be a great job!" Lily sighs. "I work at the clinic, actually, and it's been good experience, but it's not exactly low-stress there."

"It is- Geoff's a great boss." She nods. "I can't imagine vhat it's like vurking at a clinic in this town. But yes, it must be good experience. And you seem to have a natural ability for helping- and healing- others." She smiles, remembering how Lily had healed her arm with ease.

"Oh - you're sweet to say that. Hey, I've got to get to my next class, but we should make plans to have some sort of roommate-bonding time, and get Lane in on it too. I think that would be good for all of us." She smiles at Sonia as she gathers her books to go.

"It's a date. I'll bring the cookies- I owe at least *that* much to you and Lane, having to put up vith Beethoven's snoring, and...vell, just *Beethoven.*" She smiles and gives Lily a small wave goodbye as she leaves.
