Study Hall --- Thursday, October 20th

Sarah sits at the front desk, leaning back in her chair with her feet up and looking like she's asleep. There's a few gigantic boxes of donuts, hot coffee and tea for anybody else who arrives in study hall as early as she has, and while it may look as if she's perfectly harmless like this, there is a pile of rubber bands very near her hand. The threat that she'll shoot them at anyone who bugs her is obvious.

(OOC: Forgive the mun, but she's just started a new night job and will be sleeping through a lot of the day, so it's either a few days a week of study hall bright and early or study hall late and dark.)

Kiki shrugs. "It just looks... odd, that's all. It might work if you had on an oversized hooded sweatshirt, though," she says, after some thought. "But I have no idea why."

"I picked this up over at Aziraphale's book store downtown," Kiki adds, gesturing to the book. "And it's really fantastic. As for this one," she says, picking up Ballads of a Bohemian, "I need to find my favorite poem for Professor Chaucer's class next week. And I never miss the opportunity to reread some Robert Service."

[ooc: *grin* Have you heard the radio broadcasts of Jean Shepard reading "Dangerous Dan McGrew" and "Cremation of Sam McGee" (one of my favorites!)? Ever since I was about 8 years old, I've been a huge fan of both "Cremation" and "Ballad of the Ice-Worm Cocktail."

Hmm... Robert Service my be a bit too... Worldly? Real? Gory? ...for Kiki. She's probably be the sort to like Robert Frost or Emily Dickenson, both of which I can't stand.]

"Hmm, oversized hoodie...i'm also picturing a bandaid on my cheek, or something. I don't know why either" Harry is silent for a moment, pondering this new fashion idea.

"Oh, Aziraphale, from the rare book shop? I should go there, maybe he has something on making Draco loose it quidditch, or something"

"Or maybe an oversized gold chain around your neck," Kiki suggests, pondering how to make Harry look as ridiculous as possible. "Maybe you should do that for Halloween?"

"The bookstore is really nice. Aziraphale's got all sorts of unusual and rare books. And he always has cookies, too. Want to go over later on?"

"Better yet, golden teeth" Harry nods. "It wouldn't be a bad idea to do that for halloween, i guess." He grins at the suggestion, picturing himself in the OMGgangstah!clothes.

"Yeah, i'd like that. And cookies are always nice. Wanna go there after school?"

"Sure!" Kiki grins.

Her voice drops. "Did everything work out ok with that paper?"


[And of course, if Harry is Gangstah!Harry, that means Kiki will just HAVE to go as Ho!Kiki. Poor Kiki *snicker*]

Harry drops his voice too: "I just put it in their mailbox, with the coupons and the note, and that everything should be like, totally anonymous...i guess it'll be okay, and we'll see the ad in the next issue"

"I guess all we do now is wait," Kiki says, raising an eyebrow. She can't, however, keep away the smile that's hovering on her lips. "I'm just savoring the thought of the look... Anyway," she changes the subject to keep from saying too much. Never know who will end up reporting things to the radio pirate. "Do you want to meet this afternoon and head down to Aziraphale's place? Maybe get some dinner afterwards?"

Kiki, predictably, blushes, thinking she's being awfully forward. Giving Draco that tongue-lashing [omg, that sounds way dirtier than it really is] seems to have opened her up a bit.

"Oh, that'd be nice. I have anthropology this afternoon, but we can go after that. And dinner would be nice, yes. I'm looking forward to it" Harry says, and smiles at Kiki, not thinking she's horribly forward at all.

"Great! Where would you like to meet?" Kiki asks.

"Let's meet outside Aziraphale's shop? I guess that's most practical?" Harry says, who cannot think of any nice place to meet.

"Okay," Kiki agrees. "If I get there first, I may be inside. I hope I won't have any deliveries to make me late, either."

"Ah well, if you're late, i'll be inside too. Meeting the cookies mister Aziraphale. I heard he was a very nice guy, and that he sits on a bench all day feeding the ducks?" Harry grins, thinking this Aziraphale guy must be kinda odd, with the whole duck-feeding.

Kiki nods. "Yes, he is really sweet. I had to make a couple deliveries for him, and he not only gave me a very generous tip, but also a whole box of sugar cookies. I don't know how he makes them, but they are delicious. Well worth getting aquainted with!"

"Oh, that doesn't sound too bad" Harry gets up and grabs his books. "I should be going to class now, but i'll see you after that" He smiles, hesitates whether he should give Kiki a kiss on the cheek, decides not to, but he swiftly strokes her shoulder as he starts to walk away.



((Off to have diner, when i get back i make a post in townies for our date?))

Kiki smiles at him and watches him leave, giving him a small wave as he heads out the door. She sits staring into space a little dreamily for a few minutes, then shakes herself and flips open her books. Minutes tick by, but she's obviously not really concentrating. After about half an hour, she gets up, grabs her things, and dashes out, hopping on her broomstick as soon as she's out the door [thank god for the open-campus policy!] and heads for Aziraphale's Rare Books.
