Study Hall --- Thursday, October 20th

Sarah sits at the front desk, leaning back in her chair with her feet up and looking like she's asleep. There's a few gigantic boxes of donuts, hot coffee and tea for anybody else who arrives in study hall as early as she has, and while it may look as if she's perfectly harmless like this, there is a pile of rubber bands very near her hand. The threat that she'll shoot them at anyone who bugs her is obvious.

(OOC: Forgive the mun, but she's just started a new night job and will be sleeping through a lot of the day, so it's either a few days a week of study hall bright and early or study hall late and dark.)

Evelyn enters the room in a flurry. Her hair is a mess and she's been crying. She's obviously shaken and not herself. In fact she looks absolutely terrified. She looks around, making soft whimpering noises as she makes her way to a corner and presses her back up against a wall.

Belthazor saw Evelyn enter and looked at her curiously. He got up and approached her. "Hey, Evie, what's wrong?" he asked.

Evelyn yelped out in fear and pressed herself against the wall. Her hand was held out in front of her as if in defense, but her entire body was shaking.

"The knife! The knife. He's going to kill me!"

"No one's trying to kill you, Evie," Belthazor said. "Calm down. You're okay."

Evelyn shakes her head violently. It's obvious that she's not just scared, she's terrified.

"The knife...he's been chasing me...blood everywhere..." Her voice was rising. "He wants to kill me!"

Evelyn looks from side to side like she's looking for a place to run.

Belthazor held out his hands to show they were empty. "Evie, it's okay." he tried to reassure her. Then it clicked for him. He'd heard the radio broadcast late last night about the gas that was released at Spike's Pub. Evelyn hadn't been mentioned, but other people had apparently freaked out.

"Where were you last night, Evelyn?" he asked.

Evie was looking for an escape route when part of her mind clicked onto what he was saying.

"Went to have a drink and relax...then he attacked me."

"Okay." Belthazor took a step closer. "We need to get you to the clinic, Evie. You're been poisoned or something."

Evelyn shook her head. "NO! He'll find me there. He'll find me."

Belthazor suddenly lunged forward, trying to grab Evie. Reason, he suspected, was not going to work on her.

Evelyn let out a loud scream and tried to dodge out of his view. She yelped again and shook her head. "You're with him! He wants to kill me and you want to help him!"

Paige leaves Edward and goes towards Evelyn, "Evie, what's wrong?"

Belthazor looked at Paige, puzzled by how he wasn't getting the big ol' evil vibe from her right now. "Something happened at Spike's Pub last night, I think. And Evie was there. She's freaking out."

Paige nods, "Spike's huh, why does that not suprise me. Evie, it's ok, it's Paige, remember me?"

Evelyn is backing away from both of them, her eyes full of terror.

"He's chasing me. He wants to kill me. The knife."

The scream draws Han's attention from where he's talking to Hank.

"Oh hells, hers isn't wearing off!"

He gets up and approaches the terrified girl, seeing Paige and a guy he's seen around campus trying to talk to her. He catches her name.

"Evie, honey, you were at Spike's, weren't you? I saw you there." He speaks low and soothingly as if to a frightened kitkin.

Paige runs after her,she turns to Han "Do you know anyone else that was affected Han?"

He keeps his eyes on Evie, but hisses at Paige: "Saw Chloe and George, Silent Bob and Jay, Prof Beeblebrox and some dark-haired kid I've seen around. Don't know him."

Paige takes a deep breath, "Ok this is really really bad, any ideas on what to do? Or how to get her to the clinic"

Evelyn whimpered as she saw a new person between her and the door.

"You saw me? Then you saw what he was trying to do...you saw the knife."

Remembering his own bad night, Han nodded. "Sweetheart, where can I take you that's safe? Where there isn't anyone to hurt you?"

"... the fuck?" Sarah looks up at the commotion, gets up, and walks over to where everybody's hovering around Evie. "What the hell is going on over here?"

Paige looks at the princle, she'd be hoping to keep out of her way, "she's been contaminated by some sort of Toxin, we think" she tells her

Evelyn looks from Paige to Belthazor and then to Principal Connor. Okay, this many people were doing nothing to calm her down. Instead they were making her feel even more trapped where the man with the knife could get her. Evelyn is getting more and more scared and she starts trying to put space between her and the other people.

She looked at Han.

"You saw him," she pleaded with him. "Help me!"
