Tara sits in her office, pouring over the notes she and Angelus have made, scratching out names and rearranging them on a list. Faint noises of construction are audible at the back of the classroom.

Kawalsky knocked on the door to the office. "Professor? Sorry I didn't reply sooner."

"That's fine, Major K!. You have other responsibilities. Take a seat, I only want ten minutes or so of your time." Tara crosses over to take a seat on one of the comfortable chairs herself.

Charlie sat down and shifted for a bit until he was comfortable. "No problem. I don't have anywhere to be.. I don't think."

"First off, your TA duties. You're expected to attend both classes, if possible - although I will understand if something comes up occasionally. Your function is to engage with the other students, to help them explore their thinking, much as you did on Friday. You're my carrot - I need you to be gentle, helpful and friendly. Angelus is my stick no, not in *that* way. His job is to provoke the students, to push them places they might not want to go.

Which brings me to your other responsibility: the construction happening back there," she waves to what looks like the door to a supply closet, "is to create a Emo Time Out Room. Anyone who gets upset or overwhelmed by class discussion is allowed to go there to cry, take a moment of silence, or punch the walls. I may not always be able to leave the class at these moments. If you see anyone head over there, please go to talk with them, and let me know if I'm needed."

Kawalsky scratched at his forehead and nodded as he absorbed the information. "I can do that. I talk a lot anyway, so it's pretty much doing what I normally do. And this 'Time Out' room? I'm allowed in there if someone else goes there? I don't have to wait for them to come out? And what warrants calling you to come deal with them?"

"Yes, you're allowed in there - although if they ask you to leave, just let them alone. It's so that if anybody needs to vent, or cry, they don't have to do it with the whole class watching them. If there's a serious problem - like with another student, or if they feel they can't continue, or if you feel you're not equipped to cope, call me in. Otherwise, I suspect it'll be mostly dealing with people who discover things about themselves in discussion that they didn't want to know." She smiles sadly. "I think many of the students may find this class isn't the easy A they thought it would be."

"Oh yeah," Kawalsky agreed. "The first lesson was pretty tough. I don't think some people are gonna like figuring out they're wrong about some stuff.. and they aren't gonna like being pushed by Angelus."
