Outdoor Fitness and Strategy [Monday, Period One]

The class would have received an email before the period started telling them to meet Bond at the Danger Shop, which he stood in front of, wearing a pair of very dark glasses, waiting for the class to arrive.

"Class," he greeted them. "Due to the stressful weekend, we're going to have an easy class. I've loaded the Danger Shop up with a simple simulation for you to work though today."

"Also, if Sam Winchester would please stay back after class, I'd like to have a word."

Within the Danger Shop a strange and wondrous vista greeted the students. A broken landscape of islands covered in purple grass hung in the air and over water. Fairies fluttered though the air and a herd of gleaming unicorns with rainbow manes and tails raced towards the class. As they neared, the class would have been able to see that the unicorns were gleaming because they were made of polished metal.

And all to a background of early nineties synth-pop.

The robot unicorn herd slowed to a halt in front of the class, stamping their hooves majestically. Clearly, they expected to be ridden.

The last few days were probably looking a bit more normal all of a sudden.

Jonas hadn't been adversely affected this weekend but, after seeing this simulation get loaded, he wondered if someone had slipped him something to make him think he had.

It was...acidic.

Sam wasn't sure what made his eyes go wide more - the unicorn or the music. It was probably the former since, you know, unicorn. He'd been hoping to stay distracted from thinking about the weekend but this definitely hadn't been a way that had crossed his mind.

Kurt STARED.

"Homie, this class is WHACK!" he breathed.

Of course, it wasn't more than a few minutes before he started boogieing in place and singing along.

Well, this wasn't any worse than what Zayne had been doing this weekend. After all, the unicorn wasn't a GIANT BOMB.

This was unlike anything Kyle had ever seen. He spent a good few minutes staring at his surroundings, completely at a loss for words.

Even if the wrong program's been loaded, it looks like you're going to be playing the Danger Shop version of Robot Unicorn Attack.

You're going to be very grateful for the safety protocols before the end of class.

Jump, or dash. Getting the robotic unicorn to TURN seemed to be out of the question. And getting it to do anything more than fall into a pit or run headlong into a giant star ALSO seemed to be out of the question.

Fortunately, a little bamf-fu nicely fixed both problems, which meant that Kurt got more time than everyone else to enjoy the wind whipping through his hair as he rode the robotic unicorn.

...ROBOTIC UNICORN!!! Seriously, how was that not TOTALLY AWESOME?!?!?!

Zayne was done inside of 20 seconds. He missed a jump completely, he ran into a star wall, and he jumped into a star wall. It was kind of embarrassing. He couldn't even ride a unicorn today.

His eyes are totally open behind those sunglasses. Yup.

Sam cringed a little at the sound of his name, but he knew he had it coming for not going to class last week.

"You wanted to see me, sir?" he said politely.

"I did," Bond said, taking off the glasses. "I'm curious. Do my class rules give the impression that attendance is voluntary?"

Sam shook his head. "No, they don't. I'm sorry about missing class last week. Is there something I can do to make up for it?" He wasn't sure if "My boyfriend came back from the dead" would be a valid excuse, even for Fandom.

"Given the nature of the mid-term, it would be infeasible to run it again," Bond said. "So I afraid that you're looking at a detention, or else another punishment if you're unable to attend that."

"I can take the detention," Sam said. He hadn't gotten detention in a while, so maybe he could convince himself that one little slip wasn't the end of the world.

Considering how inventive Bond could get when the mood struck him, taking the detention was a wise choice. "Very well then, I'll inform the office, and they'll get back to you about when you'll be serving it."

"Okay, I understand. And I won't miss any more classes, I promise," Sam said sincerely.

Hopefully their hearts will go on, Keptin.

Kyle was just glad to be back to his normal self. He'd spent part of the morning in front of the mirror practising pronunciation of the letter 'v' in words over and over again to make sure of it.

Vales. Volcanoes. Ventricular fibrillation.

Rose was still reeling and raging (and other r things) from the fight with Dimitri earlier. She looked more than a little dazed as she tried to make it through class without completely falling apart. Or making a fool out of herself. Those were the top two priorities right now.

And because it's such an earworm, the game's background music as sung by the The Most Fabulous Timelord.

Don't get sucked into the game. It is evil and robot unicorns, random dolphins and 80s synthpop will take over your whole night.

I do not see how this is a bad thing.
