Study Hall, Monday [3/01]

As Summer set out snacks and drinks -- a tropical theme since she was still in a Bahamas kind of mood -- she was in awe that it was March already. It was crazy how fast time could pass.

She helped herself to some juice, passing on the coffee for once, and settled in with her laptop. She had some pictures to send people. And might have been trying to figure out when she could get back to Atlantis.

You know, Deadpool had never actually been in study hall. Mostly because there might actually be studying going on and that shit's contagious.

But there he was. Poking his head on in.

"Oooo! Coffee!"

Summer looked up from her computer and laughed. She loved the stuff just as much as the next person.

"Feel free to have a cup or two," Summer offered. She'd probably have some a little later on. Right now, she was enjoying her juice.

[I had to. :D I ♥ Deadpool.]

"Well, do you at least have Baileys for it?" Yes. At this time of day. On a Monday.

At school.

[[YAY!]]

Summer took a moment to process the fact that he'd actually asked that. The funny thing was, her brother would've probably asked the same exact thing.

"I don't make a habit of carrying that around," Summer replied. "Sorry." She might have to put it in her coffee later tonight, now that the idea was in her head.

Deadpool was an eeeevil man like that. See his badass anti-heroness?

See it?

SUCK ON THAT, WAY. SUCK ON IT.

"Yeah, well. I'm makin' this a new schoolwide policy." A beat. "For the teachers. Because child endangerment laws and all that crap. You know."

Summer laughed at that. "I think things would be a lot more mellow around here if that became a teachers' policy."

That was just her opinion, of course.

"Well, I think you represent an accurate slice of our teaching body. I'll bring it up with Zoe."

Oh yeah. Now that Grace was all eatin' people food, this was a surefire slam dunk.

Summer grinned. "Thanks. I sure hope I'm not the only one." Especially if he was bringing the idea to Principal Winchester. Oops. "I'll keep my fingers crossed that she likes it."

"See, all you gotta do is bring a picture of Jamie Madrox and it's a win."

Oh, Jamie. Livin' in ninjaland.

"Do I want to know the story behind that?"

Summer was curious by nature, so she definitely wanted to know what that was all about. But she should probably ask Zoe herself.

"He was a student here who lived to torment his teachers." A beat. "And sleep with my ex, but details... details..."

"Huh."

Way to bring coherent thoughts to life, Summer. "Sorry to hear that. On both counts." She wondered what Jamie would have been like in her class. "I guess he kept things interesting, huh?"

That would be putting it mildly, wouldn't it?

"There was time travel and cloning involved," Deadpool replied dismissively. "You get used to it."

"I've gotten used to a lot of things in the time I've been here," Summer nodded. Like being turned into a bird at inopportune times, for instance.

"Like the gremlins? Have ya met one yet?"

Summer shook her head. "I've been lucky enough to avoid them so far."

She suddenly had a feeling her card might be called any time now. For some strange reason that she couldn't quite place. "What about you?"

"Three times now. I serenaded people. And thought I was an obnoxious Canadian stereotype."

Minus the apologizing.

"Oh wow," Summer replied, kind of wishing she'd been around to see that. "So, I guess it's not all bad then?"

Actually, it sounded kind of fun. In a 'other people are amused, you are not' kind of way.

"Only if you enjoy public humiliation and scorn."

He did a lot of scorn. Because it was such a fun word.

"Yeah, I'm not a big fan of either."

And Summer was hoping she could avoid the gremlins for the rest of the semester and summer. Probably wishful thinking.

Totally wishful thinking. "Just don't go anywhere alone." A beat. "Ever. Find a shower buddy!"

Yeah, she was screwed.

"Safety in numbers?" Summer took a moment to think about it. "Or just funnier with more people involved?"

"...possibly more the latter."

Summer couldn't help but laugh at that. "I figured as much."

"But then your mocking of other has so much more meaning later on!"

"I suppose you're right," Summer mused. In a strange way, that made sense.

Ah, the way of the Deadpool. "Nooow you're gettin' it. See? Fittin' in already."

"And it only took a few months," Summer laughed.
