Griff didn't have much going on so far as preparations for the break trip, so he showed up for work even if it wasn't required.
Having plenty of books back in his room already (anymore and Karev was likely to start complaining), Griff booted up a computer and started abusing his access to the library databases and stores of paper to print any news articles he could find centering around the various attacks and his own disappearance. They would be a good reminder of things.
And hey, the library was open.
