All-Sexuality Support Group meeting, Thursday after classes

Gabrielle had left the decorations up to Emmett again today, so you should probably fear. She had, however, insisted on doughnuts being part of the snack spread. If you left a doughnut out in the open long enough for it to dry out, and you threw it just right, could it . . . anyway.

You'd think Emmett have learned from all the glitter-brushing last time, and he sort of had. This time he kept the decorations to rainbow streamers hanging from the back of each chair, which matched nicely with the rather large punchbowl full of Skittles. See? SUBTLE.

But pretty! They reminded Gabrielle of bathing under waterfalls. "Hi again, everyone," she told the group once they'd assembled. "I know we did introductions last week, but we thought we'd take it a step further today and do a little getting-to-know-you exercise." She glanced over at Emmett and said quietly, through her teeth, "Not that kind."

Emmett rolled his eyes. "As lovely as I find every single girl, boy, other or undecided in this room, there are some of them I have absolutely no desire to have sex with." Some.

"Good to know. Thanks. Thanks for sharing with everyone." Gabrielle's face might freeze that way, halfway between I am smiling this hard to keep from strangling you and it really looks like I'd chew my way through a log right now, doesn't it? "Actually, sharing with everyone was the plan for the day. Why don't you explain a little of how this is supposed to work, Emmett?"

"I do believe I shall, m'amselle." Emmett clapped his hands together. "Okay! Here's the deal: since so many of us are from different places, times, and..." He eyed Gabrielle. "Planets, it can seem like we don't have much in common besides the fact that we're all here, but we bet it isn't so."

"Soooo, everybody gets to take a turn to stand up and say something about themselves or the place they come from. If what they said is true for you too, speak up, raise your hand, make some connections, and grab yourself a handful of Skittles. Whoever has the most by the time the meeting's over...is gonna have a heck of a sugar crash."

Emmett shrugged, popping a grape one into his mouth. "It's like I Never without the booze and eventual embarrassing morning after."

Jack wasn't in a particularly mingly mood, but he was expected at the club meeting, so here he was. He picked out a few Skittles and took a seat.

Hayley was definitely happy to mingle. And mmmm, doughnuts.

Karla had been very, very far in the future for the last meeting, so she was rather hesitant as she ducked in before rehearsal.

But this was Gabrielle's group and even if she hadn't like females, she'd be here for support.

Look, Katchoo was here, and not throwing Skittles at Gabrielle -- that was as mingly as she was going to get, all right?

Diana munched on a donut and kept having to move her cat away from the donuts.

Tony put Skittles on his doughnut. Mmm, extra rainbowy.

Leto was here too, curious to see how this was developing. The game seemed uncomplicated enough.

It took Jack a moment to get the point of the game, but:

"I was adopted," he said blandly. That seemed like a safe guess for someone else to share at a school like this, and he didn't mind talking about it. "And -- I'm Jewish."

Gabrielle had thought about this a long time, because -- hey, she wasn't from another planet, Emmett, but she might as well be, since she apparently came from the insane Earth.

And while her reasons for it hadn't been awful in comparison, the best thing she could think of was: "I knew the life I'd have there wasn't what I wanted, so I ran away from home."

So far Francine was batting 0 for 3 on having anything in common with the others.

Dammit, she wanted some Skittles.

"My parents are getting divorced," she offered, and thought she managed not to wince. (She was wrong.) "And they don't know about--" How to finish that off, because there were things, or maybe just words she wasn't saying yet. "This," with a nod towards Katchoo.

"I've quit smoking," Hayley said, trying to come up with something other than 'I've been arrested for something I was guilty for'.

"I have a step-parent," Sam said, trying to pick something at least vaguely possible in worlds that weren't this one. "And they do know about...uh, this."

Karla hadn't been able to get any skittles for anything people had said so far. Unfortunately, her best bet for having in common with people (HER PARENTS WERE DEAD!) was too personal to bring up at a meeting like this.

"Can I just say I'm not from this time?" she asked. "Or is that cheating?"

"I've never been to school before coming here?" Merlin offered after a moment.

Diana considered what she had that was boring. "I'm from Canada." Samuel meowled his agreement.

Tony picked up another doughnut. "I've never slept with a girl," he offered.

Gabrielle had started in on the Skittles early, too. You could tell -- she was still eating them.

Strangely enough, Mitchell was also in a mood. And was a bit skittish. But yes.
