George had totally overslept this morning.  Which meant that by the time he scrambled to the library, he'd managed to dress (sloppily) but not find food or tea yet.

Which was why he was drooling the brightly coloured pictures of a cookbook.  Maybe if he thought about food enough, he'd suddenly be less hungry.

Henry was a little floaty today because he'd taken some Sudafed for a mild cold on top of the migraine meds that the doctor in Baltimore thought might control his time travel. Things felt far away and very close all at once; it was like he was 25 and treating his body as a chemistry experiment all over again.

He was staying still in this time, but he wasn't of much use to anyone -- unless you needed a librarian to ask you if you'd ever really looked at your hand.
