The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon 2/5/10

It was the day of the club fair, so of course Jean was going to be there bright and early to make everything was set up like it should be. What kind of over-achiever would she be without that?

So, the gym was neatly set up and ready for everyone to arrive and look over what new and old clubs there were this semester.

She was happy! Everyone should be happy! And if they weren't, she would totally suggest a few minutes of dancing in the rain - it would cheer up a mean old... mean person.

"You know the song?! You should totally sing it with me! I bet your voice is pretty too. We wanted to go to Caritas and sing some more but I had to sign up for clubs and so did she so we didn't. At least I didn't. She might have gone after we split up, but that would totally be mean, right?"

"Very mean," Triela agreed, breezing right past the suggestion of singing along. "But I'm sure she wouldn't do that. In fact, she probably went back to her room for a nap. Singing is tiring work, after all."

"It is? Wow. I didn't know that. I hope she did go home and nap then. That's always the best thing to do when you're tired." Momoko nodded vigorously, and for a bit too long.

She held a hand to her head when she stopped. "Whoah."

"Tired already, huh?" If only that's what it was.

She giggled. "I made my head hurt."

"Then it's definitely time for a nap." Triela pushed herself to her feet. Elena could watch the table for a bit. "Come on." She reached out for Momoko's hand.

Momoko looked up and took Triela's hand, and stood up. She was only just a bit wobbly and she covered it up with a small bouncy step. "But look, I'm not sing~ing anymore!"

But it had been a very catchy song, she remembered, and she hummed a few notes.

"Want some company on the walk back to the dorms?" So that she didn't get distracted and wander off somewhere else.

"Oh! Good idea!" Momoko pulled on Triela's arm, excited at the thought and totally not remembering that it wasn't her idea to go home. "And you can totally taste the rain on the way! It's good! It tastes just like vanilla!"

"I'm sure it does," Triela nodded, reaching out automatically to offer a steadying hand. "Especially considering how strong it smells."

As for tasting it... Triela thought not. Not if it were as alcoholic as she suspected.

Momoko's eyes went wide. "I smell? Is it bad? I mean, I'm sorry! I didn't know people wouldn't like it. I thought it was nice. Like a cake." Her eyes started to tear and she tried to bow to Triela. "I'm sorry! I'm really sorry!"

"It's not bad," Triela assured her. "Just... strong. So... stop apologizing." She was making a note to avoid letting Momoko get drunk again any time soon. She was even harder to keep up with that way.

"I'm sorry, Triela!" Momoko stopped bowing and wiped an arm across her eyes. "I didn't mean to do anything bad, okay? You're still my friend, right? If I go home and stop smelling?"

"I'll still be your friend," Triela promised. She would have added more, but she was pretty sure that doing that would only make things more confusing for Momoko.

"Ah! Thank you! You're the best Triela! Really really best! Bestest best!" Momoko was beaming again.

"I know," Triela smiled tolerantly. "Though I sort of doubt you'll remember admitting that tomorrow."

"Don't be silly, Triela." Momoko shook her finger. "I'll remember you. I remember lots of things! I remember splashing in the rain on the way here! And signing up for clubs, oh! Did I sign up for Gun with Girls club yet? I want to do that!"

"I'll make sure you're your name is on the list," Triela grinned. "Come on. It's a long way back to the gym, so we should probably head back to the dorms, right?"

That's right! She had to go and shower!

"Right! Okay! Let's go! Go go Momoko! Go go Momoko!" She pumped her fist in the air and began marching towards the exit.

Triela decided to follow her. From a distance, but it was better safe than sorry.
