The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon 2/5/10

It was the day of the club fair, so of course Jean was going to be there bright and early to make everything was set up like it should be. What kind of over-achiever would she be without that?

So, the gym was neatly set up and ready for everyone to arrive and look over what new and old clubs there were this semester.

The important part was that it was easy to make jokes again. "As if I could get sick of ice cream?" Tahiri scoffed mildly. "I'd like to try something else for once, though. I could actually eat half a nerf."

That was a good sign too, probably.

"There's a steak place," Ben suggested. "Maybe they have nerf."

Probably not.

"I don't think so," Tahiri replied, "but I never said it had to be nerf."

If she discovered the Bloomin' Onion it might not matter anyway.

"Two dates in two days?" Last night doesn't really count, Tahiri. "People might think we actually have spare time."

"Ben," Tahiri asked, pulling back to better give him an amused look, "since when has anyone thought we're normal?"

Tahiri pretended to consider this seriously, and finally decided, "I think it's a little late to fool them, short of mindtricking. Although some of the new kids, maybe . . ."

He laughed and leaned in for another kiss. "They'll just have to be the only ones who know how very normal we are."

Yes, Ben, massive displays of PDA will really encourage people to come on over.

Wait, was that what they were supposed to be doing? Besides, they indulged in massive displays of PDA everywhere else.

Although they might not want to do this at actual club meetings. Given the advisor and all.

"Because we are," she said, trying to keep a straight face. "Absolutely normal. Which means it's a date, Skywalker."
