Outdoor Fitness and Strategy [Monday, Period One]

"Good morning, class," Bond began with a grin that was not in the least bit sadistic. "I do hope you didn't exhaust yourselves too much over the weekend, as we're going to be doing some cross-country running today."

He gestured to a line of bright plastic marker flags spaced a few feet apart. "As you can see I've marked out a course for you through the preserve." A loopy, twisting course covering as much of the preserve as possible. "Nothing too strenuous, given we don't really have greatly uneven terrain on that part of the island, but it should provide something of a challenge. The course ends at the gym, so that anyone who wishes to use the facilities there after we're finished can."

"Do be careful though, the melt from the last few days' snow has made things rather slippery out there."

Jonas knew he could run and he could probably run for awhile when needed. That didn't make him any less excited about this though. He stretched some and tried not to think bad thoughts about this activity.

Robin was both, kind of tired from his recent illness, but also really raring to go, having been confined to bed for a week.

Sam didn't usually mind running, but then, Sam wasn't usually as itchy as he was now. He tried to discreetly scratch his arms as he waited.

Elena loved getting her early-morning workout. Maybe she should remember the path and start running it on days she didn't have this class?

After signing in, Codex made a run for it. Back to the dorms, that is. Yeah, she thought she was stealthy.

Bond stepped into Codex's path, he was a little bit like a ninja that way. "Miss Sherman, the course is back that way."

Bond reached out with the intention of gently turning her back towards the course. He was smiling though, just a little. "I think they are."

Codex knew when she was beat. The realization came with a small, pitiful look before she turned back towards the course. "This is cruel and unusual."

And Bond hadn't even arranged for snipers to be lurking in the preserve. "Only if I break out the full combat kit."
