BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

[OOC: OCD is coming up!]

"Not usually," he replied, shaking his head. "I'm the head of school security. I've taught on occasion but I prefer doing what I typically do."

Jacob didn't think the school on the rez even had security.

"Is there a lot of trouble then?" he couldn't help but ask. He'd heard enough stories of school with metal detectors in the bigger cities, but for all he knew this was standard for boarding schools. "Or is this more the 'don't sneak out in the middle of the night' kind of security?"

"It's more of a 'just in case' situation," Fraser said, again holding back details on the school for the time being. "I don't tend to get a lot of visits to my office during the year if that's what you're asking."

"You never know," Jacob shrugged. "I've never been to a fancy school like this."

"It's an enjoyable, interesting place," Fraser told him, speaking highly of the place he'd come to love. "I don't consider it that fancy but it is different."

"Everyone keeps insisting it is," Jacob said. He didn't know anymore. "The brochure had a castle on it."

"That's the school building, yes," Fraser said. "There are also dormitories with recreational areas and several places in town that can keep your interest. I'm sure you'll see for yourself in a few hours."

"Guess I will," Jacob agreed with a grin. "We'll probably get there faster if I get in too." Then he could claim the chairs at the back of the bus and take a nap.

"We're not planning on leaving anyone behind," he said, agreeing with Jacob. "I promise the trip will go quicker than you realize."

Jacob nodded and he shifted his bag on his shoulder. "Thanks for answering ym questions."

"Of course, you're welcome," Fraser said. "Enjoy the trip."
