BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

[OOC: OCD is coming up!]

"Now what kind of man would I be if I didn't live up to my name?" Gunn said posturing just slightly. "In my community? Everyone knows my name and what I do."

"And what exactly do you do?" Leia said. "Aside from chasing 'bozos,' I mean."

"I look out for my community," Gunn said puffing out his chest a bit. "Make sure those who are hungry get fed. Make sure people got a safe place to sleep. And if someone tries to hurt any of my crew I make sure they never do it again. What about you girl? What's your story?"

"I think we have that in common," Leia said, intrigued. "I'm planning to enter politics back home. Our government is in sore need of change."

Gunn was now giving her an amused look. "Right Politics. Me and politics are just like that," he said holding up two crossed fingers.

"You have your way, I have mine," Leia said. "I do what I can outside the system, but nothing will truly change until we change the Empire."

"Damn straight," Gunn said solemnly. "System's broke. Sometimes that means taking drastic measures."

Of course anything government was the empire to Gunn.

"It does come to that sometimes," Leia said. "And I'll be ready when it does." Because nothing was going to keep her out of the rebellion.

"Whoa. Sounds like you're ready for a revolution," Gunn said raising an eyebrow.

Clearly one of those intellectual girls who like to fight oppression. He could appreciate that.

"You have no idea," Leia grinned.
