BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

Fraser squinted at the young man and maintained his position. "Are you all right, young man? Is there something I can help you with?"

"Just read me my rights and get on with it," Gunn said over his shoulder. "I ain't carrying anything."

"I'm not here to arrest you, I assure you," Fraser said, shaking his head. "I'm employed by the school you're to be attending and just helping Professor Wilson with the bus trip."

"Uh-huh," Gunn said pulling himself away from the bus and eying Fraser suspiciously. "Just to clarify this is a real school and not some Canadian Juvie, right?"

"It's a high school, I assure you," Fraser told him. "Disciplinary action will be taken if needed but you're in no trouble at the current moment."

Gunn paused for a moment as he did his best to hide his embarassment.

"Right. I knew that," he said straightening his posture. "Just playing around, you know?"
