BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

[OOC: OCD is coming up!]

"No. Then again last time I checked I wasn't triple-A," Gunn joked. "I'm Gunn."

"Damn, you looked like it," Jacob smirked. "I'm Jacob. And I'm hoping we're getting there soon because they make those planes way too small."

"You're in luck man," Gunn replied. "Pretty sure it's a bus ride all the way in."

"You realize that now we're going to break down half way and we'll have to walk the rest of the distance, right?" Jacob checked.

"Screw that," Gunn said. "They can bring a new bus in and I'll wait for it. I'm not walking all the way to some god forsaken island."

"Well, I'm not too bad with engines, so it might not be a complete disaster if it did," Jacob assured him. "It's a bit weird, a school on its own island. It sounds like it should be one of those rich kids schools."

"Of course it's a rich kid school," Gunn said rolling his eyes. "You telling me you aren't rolling in dough?"

Jacob blinked and then laughed out loud. "Do I look rich to you?" he asked, snickering. "I grew up in La Push on the rez, there's not a lot of rich people there."

"Pfft, I grew up in the badlands of LA," Gunn said. "All of y'all look rich hto me."

"The badlands? Isn't that a movie?" Jacob asked. "And no, I'm really not rich, man. And I'm really hoping my dad isn't blowing all his money on a school I didn't want to go to to begin with."

"All I know is if I'm not liking it, I'm out of here," Gunn said with a shrug. "Not like they're going to want me around anyway."

"It's a school," Jacob said. "Why wouldn't they want you around as long as they get paid. And you don't get in too many brawls."
