BWI Airport, Portalocity Port, Saturday Morning

Timing had worked in Bruce's favor this morning. After a long overnight flight from Japan, he was really early for the shuttle to Fandom. That was according to plan. This way he'd get to see how people came into the room marked "Fandom High," whether they were nervous, or excited, or annoyed at the very thought of having to go to school.

Those first impressions didn't necessarily mean anything, but Bruce felt they often gave a good insight into how his new classmates would react in a stressful situation. You never knew when that kind of thing might come in handy.

"Ah, all of that stuff about the school accepting students from all walks of life, you mean?" Warren was hoping that it hadn't been an exaggeration, at all. "A bit of what was in that pamphlet seemed a little far-fetched, but if nothing else, it promises to be an interesting place."

It was common knowledge that all rich kids were clearly just spoiled, perfectly normal children with no inclination to differ from their cozy lifestyles. Honestly, now, Warren could totally attest to that.

"I can't argue with that logic. There's nothing the matter with mixing things up a bit, so long as the classes are as interesting as the pamphlet wants us to believe."

Maybe there was an accounting course or something.

Alcatraz, technically.

"New York," Warren replied, instead. Still totally honest. Also, pleasantly vague. "Yourself?"

Pardon Warren for this slightly confused look.

"I suppose so, huh?" Gotham was, so far as Warren was aware, a nickname for New York. But to each his own, right? "Not a bad 'general area' to be from, at any rate. This small town thing is going to be an interesting change of pace."

"There's certainly something to be said for not having to compete with the city crowds for room to stretch," Warren offered. He was attempting to pick out all of the positives to this situation. It was a bit of a challenge, so far. "And a fresh start can't be all that bad. Hopefully it works out. For all of us."
