Anyone Can Cook, Tuesday, Period 4

"Welcome to your final exam," Colette said as she greeted students in the home ec classroom. "I'm going back to Paris at the end of the week, but I greatly enjoyed my time here as a teacher, and you are ... not all completely useless in the kitchen."

She just missed Alfredo. She was convinced he'd run the restaurant into the ground without her.

She cleared her throat and went on. "Today, we are going back to the assignment you did the very first week. You each have 40 minutes to make a dish to share with the class that demonstrates what you have learned this term. This is your final assessment."

"Begin."

Joan decided to take advantage of the final to make some Christmas cookies.

Admittedly, they probably wouldn't be as tasty as the ones Raven and Karla made yesterday, but such was life.

Sam made pasta with a meat sauce, instead of regular tomato sauce. It was far enough outside of his comfort zone that he felt like it was a decent choice.

Helen made a very delicious dish ~~which the mun sadly has lost all brain power to even think up. But it was delicious and well-thought out and... yeah~~.

Priestly's hair was pretty tame -- for him -- today, just faded green and pulled back into a little mohawk ponytail. He was hard at work at his master creation, combining provincial and haute cuisine with his first love, sandwiches, into something ~~riffed straight from an episode of Kitchen Confidential~~ awesome and unique.

Just, you know, don't think too hard about the name "wet sandwich".

Thanks for being a great class, guys. Would have loved to keep Colette longer but I'm running up hard against time limitations.
